This is a most attractive olde worlde lantern which will add a touch of charm to Christmas time and other such festivities. The wrought iron effect and tinted glass are most appealing. It would also look great during Guy Fawkes Nights accompanying the evocative smell of gunpowder and ale!The downside is that these lanterns feel cheaply made. The metal is thin, and the clips fixing the pieces of glass look minimalistic. I was also disappointed to notice that the product was made in China (what isn't these days?). I would have been much happier had this been UK-made, but the words 'Made in England' are virtually extinct from the shops these days which is very sad as these were a byword for high quality forged from our illustrious Victorian period. I hope I am wrong but I can't see this product lasting many years in service.

I ordered the largest size thinking that it was probably a rip-off, but when it arrived it was absolutely MASSIVE and so beautiful! Really well packed as well, and included a spare glass panel. I thought at first the door didn't latch, but it turned out that I just needed to remove all the foam. There are also instructions in case the door latch isn't working or panels are loose, which shows attention to detail.The colour is very vibrant and strong, and just as pictured. I got purple but there is a wide range of colours.This is a quality item, well made and should last a very long time. Was actually worth the price after all. Very happy.

Sturdy lantern with pretty glass sides. I've put little lights inside mine at the moment rather than candles, and they look lovely when all lit up.
