Loved it so much I bought if for a friend
These magic kits are just perfect for kids. Purchased on for my kid last Easter, ended up buying for a friend's child for Christmas. It will require some adult assistance to understand and put the directions into action for younger kids, but learning is half the fun! Overall, the tricks are super simple. The props are super cute. Everything need to host a little at home magic show.

Fun, but Pricey
Little pricey for complete set. Six year old grandson enjoyed the cape and wand the most.

Instructions too difficult for children; props too cheap for adults
I bought this case for my almost 10 year old. To be fair, it's the only magic kit with an actual case (the main reason I bought it), so I'll give it an A for effort. However, the booklet with the 250+ tricks is way too difficult for children to understand. There are hardly any pictures, the font is tiny, and unless you've watched a video of any given trick, instructions are very hard to understand and follow. On top of it, the tricks don't necessarily relate to the props in the case, and there's no indication of which prop is used before each trick, so looking for a trick that uses the kit props is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I would have been happier with a booklet of 10 tricks [using the kit props] with step-by-step illustrations. The props themselves (a magnetic pen with a hidden second tips, a regular deck of cards, a couple of sea-through plastic cards, shoe laces, a couple of metal rings, 3 tiny plastic cups, 4 tiny pompoms and a bizarre "coin paddle" that doesn't fit the plastic coin that comes with it) are decent for children, but nothing that you don't already have at home—except for the magnetic pen and the see-trough cards (that get damaged almost immediately).I kept the kit because my daughter wanted a case for her own homemade magic props, but if I had to do it again, I would get a black make-up case (or generic case) and buy good props separately. If your child is young, an avid above-her-age reader, and is already familiar with magic tricks, this might be a good choice for you. It wasn't for me.

The Next David Copperfield!!
5 starThe Next David CopperfieldMy 7 year old niece hasn't stopped wearing her magic cape and top hat wanting us to see her perform her new magic. I was surprised with the quality of the set and couldn't be happier. I will buy another set from this maker as my niece now loves magic. It's a great hobby
