Great product!
For someone with some DIY skills, this is a real battery upgrade for the iPhone SE 1st gen. The installation is not simple but it can be done with a bit of patience. The tool kit included is really great. My old battery was lasting about 4 hours. After installation, I began the calibration phase. I’m doing the recommended 5 full cycles, and the battery life seems to be increasing with every cycle. Now the battery is lasting 2 full days. Do the cycles and charge fully to 100%, and leave it plugged in for an additional 2 hours minimum, then discharge the battery over time until it shuts off due to low power. Don’t recharge when the battery gets low, but let it shut off. My phone initially would get to 1% and then last another 4 or 5 hours with the new battery. As you continue the cycles, the calibration gets more accurate. It’s like I have a new phone!Update: The battery still performs well several months later, not lasting 2 days, but more like a normal phone like my friends have. I don’t have to constantly worry about my phone dying. One thing is that every few weeks it will discharge down to 1% suddenly, like over a 2 hour period from 50 % or so. However it doesn’t die, but stays there for hours, so it no longer worries me. I wait until it dies and then charge up fully plus 2 hours and it’s good again.

Good battery, installation not for the faint of heart
My phone has been given a new life with this battery. Installation is tricky. It takes a lot of force on the suction cup to get the case open. There are some really tiny screws to deal with and they are different sizes -- be sure they go back in the same place. I was unable to pull the adhesive out under the old battery and had to bend and pry it to get it loose, worrying that it might explode (it didn't). You only get one chance with the new adhesive, it if touches down in the wrong place it can't be repositioned.12/10/2024 update. Battery is working great. I was very pleased to note that the phone now works in cold weather. I had it mounted on my bicycle in 40 degree weather for several hours with no ill effect. The old battery would have died quickly.

Not charging
A bit of caution, opening an old SE can be hard, take your time, get a double suction cup "cracker". If your phone springs apart, the cables and connectors can tear very easily! Once opened, its not hard at all. I'm not 100% sure something didn't get pulled in my phone, the battery never charges properly and I had screen / home button issues. I also replaced the screen and transferred the home button. The phone turns on for about 2 minutes, just long enough to try to grab some contact info but not long enough to connect to the cloud to update it. I had to buy a new phone (SE 5G, probably not a bad idea anyway). I ought to return the battery but there are still things I'm trying to transfer. I'm hoping its the phone and not the battery. It will only charge to 22% at best.

Be Careful Removing The Old Adhesion Strips
This kit arrived 4 days earlier than promised. Installation was quite easy in my estimation. I had never replaced an iPhone battery before. I did have a slight problem getting the case open. Almost a two man job to open the screen from the case. I opened it by use of the suction cup only. I was lucky that the wire for the home button disconnected without breaking it. I followed a YouTube video (I realized a video is included that has to be scanned). The video I followed suggested heating the back of the case slightly to remove the old adhesive. It also suggested to cut the tab on the adhesive to allow pulling one strip at a time. When I cut the tab with a pair of scissors I accidentally put a small hole in the one adhesive strip. I was able to pull the one side out. The other adhesive strip broke. I was able to pry the battery up on that side (not recommended from the video I watched). This allowed me to grab ahold of the strip with the tweezers supplied with the kit. Once the adhesive strips were removed the battery came right out with no problem. Reassembly was a pice of cake. The phone works fine now. I can’t comment on battery life since I just installed the battery this morning. I plan on bringing the old battery to Staples or Bedt Buy to recycle it.

Works Great! but you need to be patient ... very patient
This was my very first time changing out a phone battery and I would do it again. The product is great. The battery lasts all day (Its only been a few weeks). The tools were fine, nothing too special as they are for single use. The suction cup provided was not very strong and slipped. I ended up using the suction cup from a phone wall mount which is very strong.I did not use their installation video but I did watch multiple installation videos on YouTube that did a great job walking through everything and giving tips.As this was my first time, it took a while to do but now that I've done it, the 2nd time would be much faster.Installation:Each screw can be a different size. You need to track carefully where each screw came from.Taking the old battery out was a pain ... there are strips holding the battery to the phone. They need to be pulled extremely slowly to prevent them from breaking. I read using a heating pad would work ... it didn't! I did find using a blow dryer on low and pointed to the back of the phone made the strips much easier to pull out. I do not know if this will cause any damage to the phone (so do some research)I did not reattach the screen connector correctly the first time but eventually did get them to snap into place correctly. Everything works great.I did not receive any discounts, perks, or payments of any kind for this review.
