solid work horse
Great device, I've used almost 100 of them with no issues except the power plug is a small micro usb and can break if mishandled. Really wish they would change it to a standard barrel 12v plug. otherwise no complaints.

It worked well but didn't last long. It died a year after installing it.
Update: It only lasted 1 year. It was only running for 8 hours / 5 days a week. It died before it was a year old.Previous/Original review:It does what it says it does. It offers compatibility with various HD CCTV protocols and converts them to consumer HDMI. I'm using it to create a digital window in a basement home office. It flawlessly converts the image from my outdoor camera into a crystal clear image with no distortion!

fragile power input connection!
Wow, the power input connection (micro USB?) is very fragile! I plugged it in, tested the setup (worked fine) unplugged it, then went to plug it in later to test it again and it broke the connection internally. I was able to take it apart, cut and strip the red and black power wires and solder them directly onto the board and it all powered up again but that was some microscopic "surgery" for sure. Afterwards I hot melt glued the power input wire in place. I recommend plugging it in and don't ever unplug it. In fact, hot melt glue the power cable in place and leave it there.

Converts most Hi-Res camera signals to HDMI.
This product helped solved a problem I was having. There are converters out there that say they convert Hi-Res camera signals to HDMI. What those other converters don't do is convert a range of signals. This device handles most of those ranges in between. The nice feature of this converter is that it lights up and LED telling you what signal it is receiving and then converting. I used this converter to convert the signal from a Hi-Res Quadrid (TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS) capable camera to HDMI and then connected directly to a TV/monitor. No need for a DVR.
