Q: Seeing conflicting reviews, is this silent? Or does it make a ticking noise?

The 25655 has a silent sweep movement. There should be no ticking noise. This item in past years may have been produced with a regular quartz movement, but it has been updated to a silent sweep quartz movement now.

Q: What is the height of this clock? I need it to fit into a small cubby.

It measures 4" to the top of the alarm button, but it is sitting about 3/8 of an inch from the bottom of the plastic container. You would probably need the 3/8" to hit the alarm button without taking it out of the cubby though. Hope that helps.

Q: Is the clock ticking audible?

Yes! I love the clock but the ticking is very loud.
