Woodchucks WoodBox Full of Scrap Thin Boards. Shorter Lengths

Took longer for delivery than expected. However, when I contacted seller that I hadn’t received my package, I had a prompt reply and package then shipped quickly. I ordered thin scraps. Thickness varied from 1/8 inch to 3/4 inch. Almost all were roughly 12” long, anywhere from 3” to 10” wide. Several different species of wood. Some sanded and some not. I’m using these to write prayers and Bible scriptures on to place in between studs before insulation and Sheetrock on our new home. I started out writing on the lumber directly but now it’s the heat of summer. This is a good option to get to trickier spots and placed quickly while I prepare the wood at my leisure, at home, in the a/c. Great quality and variety for the price. Much better than cheap quality craft wood for virtually the same cost.

The box I got was packed plumb full, not another piece of wood could have fit. I got a wide variety with a lot of dark walnut. Every piece of wood in this box is usable. I will most definitely be getting more. I can't wait until my next day off from work to start making things.

I got what I expected. Different woods. Different thickness. The person who complained about them being too thin....I would have loved that box. And one complained about live edge and a little rot,,... I would have loved that for my art.Sot you get what they were cutting on the day they packed the box. Might or might not be what you want. but is still stuff you can use.. you can flatten the small boards easy.I am very happy an will order another one when this is half gone... did take a long time to arrive.

I see some people are upset with what they got vs the pictures. When you get ready to purchase there are 4 options to select from. I ordered the thin and that's what I got. I'm satisfied with the wood they shipped to me and got a good verity. Some of the wood was warped a bit but it is still usable because there are ways I can deal with that.

This product is as described but not really worth it to me. My box was mostly 2" wide by 12" long and various widths. I was expecting more 3-6 wide pieces from the other reviews and pictures. I would return the item but there is a restocking fee so I'll just keep it and find uses for them.if you are looking for thin (1/8-1/2) pieces that are 2" x 12" then this is the box for you

Firstly, the mix was terrible. All but four boards were oak and two of them were very water damaged. I understand that this is a random box, but this is still disappointing. Secondly, and this is unforgivable, the wood was criss-crossed in the box and pieces were purposely chosen to overlap to take up as much space as possible. When I stacked it properly, the box was only 75% full. Not worth the money. Plenty of others do these boxes and do a MUCH better job of it.

This assortment is perfect for my hobbies. Lots of book matched pieces, lots of crotches. most of the pieces are 1/4 to 5/16 in thick. Only a few pieces 3/32 to 1/8 - wish there were more thin ones. Great for knife scales, butterfly wings, toy projects, etc. my assortment came with walnut, cherry, maple, a few cedar, and poplar. Most were planed and flat. Widths were 2inches to 6 inches and all were 12 inches long. No complaints here.

The box does come as described on the thinknesses. However I ordered this because there was variety listed in the description. I do understand it's the luck of the draw but it doesn't even look like they tried to fill it with variety. It's all 100% light grain wood. Most of that being the same variety. They didn't even attempt to make the box have a little variety. If I could see that they tried. I would be extremely please because ordering cut offs is the luck of the draw. Based on this experience I can not in good conscience recommend this product to anyone else based on the description they provide. It seems to be quite misleading based on what I received.
