Quick and accurate at the track (when you really care)
Better than the surface IR monitors.Needed for profiling your tire at the track if you want to know your driving at the limits, maximizing grip and have the camber dialed in correctly.

Great for motorcycle track tires.
Simple modes, easy use, large indicator.I don't need complicated tire temps. I wanted a tire Pyrometer with a physical probe versus surface contactless infrared gun.I needed to verify the temps of my tires after getting tire warmers for the track. Now I know for how long to heat my tires. It will also allow me to verify the tire warmers are working in the future by giving me direct temp feedback.The probe is preferred as I want the temp below the surface of the tire.

Barebones feel and sketchy quality
The tip fell off after using it only once. Looks like it was just some cheap glue. You get the feeling that you're being punished for getting the entry level model. Returned this and bought the one from Joe's Racing. That has better build quality, huge display, right-angle probe with removable end and a nice backlight plus extra features you wouldn't expect in an entry-level model. I think it was actually 20 dollars cheaper to boot. In the end this model was just a poor value.

Simple and effective
What can you say? It measures temperatures and is easy to use. Hard to ask for anything more. Now the challenge is figuring out how to get it to my tires when they are at peak temperature instead of after they've cooled down for a couple minutes as I drive back paddock.

Great little tool
Performs well. I use it to check temps on my tires at the track and it does exactly that. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive ones, but I'd rather put that money into my car! :-)
