Melissa & Doug and Puffy Sticker Play Set - Fairy

This is my second Melissa & Doug product, the first was a reusable sticker book as well. Problem was, it was much bigger & harder to travel with. Unfortunately it was/ is my little sisters FAVORITE toy right now. I figured this MINI book would be the same thing, only smaller. Unfortunately I was wrong- these are ACTUAL STICKERS- just puffy (not reusable). The bigger books have VINYL STICKERS that allow it to adhere to the laminated pages (as well as smooth objects around the house) MULTIPLE TIMES with out loosing it’s suction. However, this booklet lasted all of 2weeks (& I’m being generous), before everything under the sun was stuck to the back of each one & my sister was throwing a fit because the tiara won’t stick anymore.Honestly, if this was a gift, I’d suspect that it was from Dollar General or something, not a Melissa & Doug product. This is a waste of money. I could buy 500 stickers at 7/11 & it would only be $2.

We had some of these before and they worked great, but for whatever reason this time around the stickers lost their stickiness much quicker. So in general these products are great for car trips, keeping kids quiet in church, etc., but this particular one did not live up to the standard set by previous ones (for comparison, I think we had previous ones ~1year or more before stick wore off, whereas this one lasted no more than a few months).

I have loved M&D for seeing us through long road trips but this product doesn't have the longevity to see a second time's use. Stickers lost their "stick" quickly, the design of keeping the stickers on the front is poor and kept popping off, many of the stickers are so small that tiny hands can't help but touch the backs- which contributed to lack of sticky-ness. Too bad, my kids love the idea of fairies and would have been all over this toy.

My 3 year old saw this at a hobby shop and wanted it for Christmas, but it was double the price as Amazon, so I purchased it here. I was so excited to get it for her since it said reusable stickers and thought she'd have a lot of fun/time with it. Unfortunately this is not one of Melissa & Doug's finest products. The stickers can only be used two times at most before they lose their stickiness and then the product is useless -- not even worth $5. Would have been much better if they were like Colorforms. Very disappointed.

I'd give this product 5 stars for the entertainment value my 3 year old daughter found in it. Over the course of about four days (not consecutive), she has spent maybe 8 or 10 hours total playing with these. She absolutely loves this one and the princess one.However, after that much playing and resticking, the stickers have lost all ability to stick to... well... anything. We have lost about half of the minuscule stickers that were shoes, crowns, scepters, flowers, etc. And a few of the stickers, including one of the movable princesses has torn into multiple pieces. For those reasons, I'd give this product two or three stars.
