The best!!!
Over the last 2 months my 10 month old granddaughter has had a really bad virus/upper respiratory infection which ended up turning into a sinus infection, and after being treated for the sinus infection she ended up with Croup. After several trips to the pediatrician, steroids, breathing treatments, and then 1 trip to childrens hospital and then given more steroids and breathing treatments, and then using the humidifier at home constantly along with suctioning her nose out numerous times per day she was still sounding bad when she’d breathe, fussy, not feeling well or wanting to sleep, and her nose congestion wasn’t seeming to improve nomatter how much we suctioned her out. She’d fight us like crazy when we’d use the regular nose sucker. Would take 2 of us to hold her still to suction her nose and would take several minutes to be able to get anything at all to come out of her nose & she’d still be severely congested in her nose right afterwards. I got on Amazon and typed “croup relief” in the search and this product popped up. I read all of the reviews which were mostly all really great ones and noticed this product was showing same day delivery at that moment so I decided to order it. It came with batteries which was a plus! Super easy to assemble and to detach parts to clean and rinse. She fought us on this one too but not quite as much. The tip piece fit perfectly into her nostrils and we were able to suction her out in less than 1 minute and with this one we actually were able to successfully get the gunk to come out of her nose & immediate improvement with her congestion and breathing right afterwards. I couldn’t believe how much gunk I was seeing when I took the piece off to rinse it out. I did get some nasal drops like I read that’s suggested and put the drops in her nose 30-60 seconds before suctioning her out each time. She still doesn’t like being suctioned but I think now after using this one on her that she must be getting used to it because now I’m able to suction her nose most of the time without having someone else help hold her arms and keeping her still. Now I’m able to do it without anyones help and she’s not fighting it as much as before. It came with a manual one inside the package but we havent even had to use that one so far since the battery operated one has worked so well for her. It came with 3 different sized tips which I like because we can use this as she continues growing and as she ages. She still has croup but now that we’ve been using this product on her nose it finally seems like she is improving more and more each day & moving in a positive direction. I don’t think she’d be doing this well if it weren’t for us having this product now. This one has worked better than anything we’ve tried and it’s the one thing that’s given her instant improvement and relief. I’m surprised with how well this works that the price wasn’t much more than what I paid for it & impressed with how affordable this item is. I’ll never use another kind on her again and will always use this one from here on out. Wish I would’ve had this one from day 1 10 months ago when she was first born. I recommend this product to anyone with a baby or small child over any other product out there. Thank you for making my little grandbaby finally feel better!!!

The aspirator you need! BUY IT!!!
We have tried many aspirators, from manual to electronic ones, without all the bells and whistles. This one is the best! Other ones we've had made noise and lit up, but this one doesn't do any of that, nor do I miss it. It is unnecessary to have those features if they are not performing what you need them to do, especially in desperate situations like clearing your infant's nasal passage. There's a button that you can long press or short press and excellent suction attachments. It also came with a manual no sucker that we have yet to use, though looks incredibly sturdy and practical. If you're reading this by this aspirator, You will be grateful that you did!

OCCOBaby vs. Graco....no clear cut winner
We’ve owned several graco’s and have now owned this OCCObaby aspirator for a couple of months now. Both the Graco and the OCCObaby have their advantages and disadvantages.Suction: When I first tried the OCCObaby, I was very impressed with how strong the suction is. The Graco has a strong suction as well but this may have a slight advantage. Unfortunately, my Graco had broken down and I couldn’t test these side by side to be sure. (Possible win for OCCObaby)Fit: I feel that the fit of the Graco is better. The OCCObaby tip is HUGE with a large suction hole compared to the smaller tip and suction hole of the Graco. I feel like if you don’t really push it deep in to the nose, you sometimes don’t create an airtight seal. This causes discomfort in my little one sometimes. I’m no engineer, but it feels that although the OCCObaby may have a stronger suction, because it doesn’t fit as well and the suction hole is larger, it makes the suction feel weaker than it actually is. This translates into the OCCObaby having a harder time getting snot out - especially the thick stringy stuff which my child always seems to have no matter how much saline we use. Lately I’ve had to close one nostril to get the snot out. Doing this is effective and makes the suction really strong, but my little hates this and it’s a constant battle to suction her. I never had to do this with the Graco so suctioning her with the Graco was ultimately less of a pain. (Win for Graco)Noise: They’re probably similar. (Tie)Backup/Over fill: The collection cup on the OCCObaby is sooo small compared to the generous sized cup on the Graco. Very annoying! (Win for Graco) The OCCObaby also overflows much too easily. When the snot is thick, it is always backing up into the machine when the cup is not even close to being full. (Win for Graco) The one advantage the OCCObaby has here is how easy it is to clean the machine in case of an overflow. An overflow on a Graco can cause it to completely breakdown for several hours - not helpful because your child still needs to be suctioned. (Win for OCCObaby)Overall design: The handheld portion of the OCCObaby is designed nicely. I love that it can stand up in case you need to put it down immediately after suctioning - which can help prevent overflow. [But, note that it will only stand on a hard, flat surface, so arms of couches won’t suffice.] (Win for OCCObaby) I’ve gotten used to the button being on the back on the Graco so it still feels awkward, for me, that the button is on the front of the body of the OCCObaby. It can be a bit annoying because I have pushed it accidently several times when trying to remove the collection cup after an overflow event and have had snot shot back at me. (Win for Graco)Obviously one huge disadvantage of the Graco is that it just doesn’t last. If you’re lucky to have it still under warranty, Graco will replace it for you. Although this is great, you’d still have to wait for it to arrive while your child’s nose can’t. On the other hand, the OCCObaby instructions manual does list how long you should expect it to last (I don’t recall the exact number but it’s at least a few years). I cannot vouch for that estimate as I have not had it that long. In my opinion, with OCCObaby’s flaws there’s just no clear cut winner here. Honestly, with the price of the OCCObaby being more than double that of the Graco, I expected more and must say I’m disappointed in its performance so far. I’d personally rather use the Graco and maybe have the OCCObaby there as a backup option.

Love it!
Ok this has been a game changer for me! My son gets really congested. We have two dogs with a lot of shed hair and pet dander. I tried the manual suction bulbs. By the time I get the mucous in the back to come to the front with a manual bulb both baby and I are frustrated. He’s crying and ends up snorting it back down before I can get it out. Out of desperation I bought this!I’m glad I did! So not only does this help me get out the boogers but it does so usually before or shortly after it makes my little one mad.The only cons I have is that if the mucous is dried or hard it won’t suction the booger inside. It only sucks it into the base if it’s wet and pliable. However it will bring the mucous to the front of the nose enough I can safely tweezer it out. Another thing I’ve learned is if the mucous is stubborn you have to kinda vacuum seal it to the top, side, or the bottom of his nose. So I just tilt the tip until it touches a nasal wall. This makes the suction stronger by creating a little make shift vacuum that drags it to the front enough to get it suctioned into the base. It does take a little maneuvering to figure out the best way to bring the mucous to the front. If the mucous is wet and pliable just setting it inside and suctioning will bring it out no problem with out all the maneuvering. All in all it was worth the money so my baby can breathe easier!
