The product is very small but does work well when the solar panel is in strong uninterrupted sunlight. A slight shadow then it stops working.

the pump was so small, about the size of a matchbox, that it could only just manage to pump water to the outlet. not powerful enough to pump water.

You can't think of this in terms of it being sunny outside, therefore it will crank all day long. You have to think of the rectangular panel on the solar module as a canvas, and the sun has to paint every square inch of it to be full sun. If it is in a little shade it will greatly lessen the fountain strength, and as the sun moves, you may wish to move the solar module which is as simple as moving a lawn dart. The video I made here shows you what I mean. Also, this is not a filter, so you will also need a pump and filter to keep your water clean. This is for decoration or to provide air bubbles for fish. Our pond just had the pump and this fountain installed yesterday, so that is why the water is off-pitch.

I keep the top of the defuser about an inch below the water level to restrict the water height. If placed at surface level the water shoots over 2 feet high. The solar panel is about the size of a cell phone and works very well in direct sunlight but stops if a cloud goes by. How long it’s going to last I don’t know.

This would not even stay put in the small pond I was using it in. The pond is about 18” deep and we had to put it in stacked pavers for the fountain to be out if the water. Came home after work first full day, and the whole thing was just floating sideways. Maybe better for bird bath.

It works for now. Wish it had a back up battery. But I did find one on here to purchase. Hoping this will work to keep pump running for longer.

The pump doesn't do anything no matter how much sun it gets. I had it in full sun for 3 hours and it never budged. The cheap plastic on the solar panel snapped uppon trying to push it into the soil. This is garbage and I wouldn't buy it for 10 dollars.
