Koller Products 1 Gallon Hex BettaTank - LED Lighting

The 1-gallon bowl seems impossibly small, but fine for my single Betta. There is a larger version which I'm considering because my fish have gotten bigger since. The clear lightweight plastic bowl, lid and lighting system are excellent quality. I use rechargeable batteries. Was concerned about full enclosure and remedied that by drilling a quarter inch hole for air. It is recommended to allow air in for at least five minutes a day. I leave the lid off for several minutes and have never had a Betta jump out of the bowl, but I don't have the water way up to the brim or spook my fish with sudden movement. The lid and lighting system sits on top and is easy to lift off (gently). Multi-colored lights so you can imagine your fish in various fruit flavored jello. Betta is adjusting very well. Overall, pretty happy with this purchase.Note: LED lights last a long time, but not alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go.

I liked the product, it was the perfect size for my fish, good qualityI purchased it for the size but mostly because it had a light, but it didn't work. I was very dissapointed.

Used it to house a medicating betta that had ich. That's about all it is good for. Please do not house a betta in this. The rule is one gallon per inch of fish. I've never seen a betta fish only an inch in size. This UNHEATED and UNFILTERED small tank is no home for a TROPICAL fish. And please, if you happen to do so, make sure the temperature of the water is no cooler than 76 degrees Fahrenheit AT ALL TIMES, and you do at least a 75% water change DAILY. When doing water changes it is recommended to keep a supply of water sitting out 24 hours in order to evaporate CHLORINE, or use a water conditioner for tropical fish!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT OR YOU WILL SLOWLY POISON YOUR FISH! One last thing, the water you are switching out for should be as close to the temp of the water you are removing as possible, or it will shock your fish's immune system and they can fall ill. I loved the design of this for where I wanted a beta tank, so decided to try it, despite being a little smaller than I like. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. The lid didn't fit AT ALL and was poorly finished so it had jagged edges. The body of the tank is made from a thickness and quality of plastic that would be better suited to a squeezable ketchup bottle than a fish tank. Disgraceful quality. As much as I like the style, I sent this back almost immediately because of the poor quality.

I was excited about this until I opened it. The lid doesn’t stay on. Also it’s not big enough for my beta. I put him in and he was pissed so I ended up putting him back in his other tank.

The media could not be loaded. It was easy to install the lights. It has options to buy a heater if needed. I like the light timer option. I can feed him easily thru the lid

I’m bought this item for my niece as a gift. She is only six years old, so we Velcro it to the table. I love the fact that it is completely completely covered so that she cannot throw things in the water and that it is so clear. Having a light is an additional plus

My son loves this tank! We put a beta fish inside and it is the perfect size and looks great. The light is fun but it does goes though batteries quickly.
