Hayward SX200D Bulkhead Fitting Replacement for Hayward S200 and S240 Series Sand Filter

I ordered this bulkhead after having a 20 year old one break off inside the sand filter. Replacing the bulkhead saved me from having to buy a totally new sand filter so I saved about $550 just by replacing the bulkhead. IT fit perfectly and was very easy to install. A really great replacement and I highly recommend this produce.

Had a broken inlet (top) bulkhead fitting - it was leaking bad enough that I had to shut down the filter/pump until I could fix it. I ordered 2 of these, figuring it was a good idea to go ahead and replace them both as well as do a sand change, since I had to dig out sand anyway. Make sure you order a couple O-rings as well: They on on the outside of the fitting, against the filter. After replacing them, and re-connecting the 1,000 bolts, everything is up and running with no issues. My filter is an antique at this point, so my original fittings were white - not that it matters, but just an FYI if you are working with an older filter....

The perfect part. Our pool store was going to charge us $42 for this same part. We got it for less than half on Amazon. It fits perfectly and the filter is running smoothly again.

The threads were bad and the part popped off as soon as we turned the pump back on. We tried several times, and then ordered a new part. Frustrating.

By the description in the details it should fit but it was too small for my pool pump.
