My Money Tree Loves This Stuff
I’m one of those guys who has killed every plant given him. I can’t even keep succulents alive. So when my wife gave me a money tree for my office to celebrate a successful project, I was determined to change my ways. The money tree arrived surrounded by peat whose main purposes was to be lightweight to reduce shipping costs. The first time I watered, most went straight through and out the bottom of the cheap container. So I ordered a self-watering pot (I cannot judge when to water things on top of just forgetting to water) and began to look for soil. There were certainly several recommendations for soil mixes online. But to buy charcoal, coco husks, compost and peat was way more than I was willing to spend to re-pot one plant. This soil seemed to have a good mixture of the most important things, so it’s what I chose. It’s a choice I’m very happy with. The re-potting went well (note: a larger tree would likely need multiple bags) and my money tree is thriving. The leaves are green and buoyant, and new leaves are sprouting like crazy. My money tree loves this stuff, and so do I.

Wonderful Planting Mix!
I used this planting mix to put some of my rose cuttings in. I now have 3 new rose plants! It is a very nice mix!

small quantity but seemingly good quality
this is a very expensive way to buy soil and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have, like, a single plant. but I bought it for part of a re-potting gift set for someone who only has a single plant, and it was perfect!

Worked -But seems to have a short shelf life
I mean it's a bag of soil formulated for money trees and in that area it seems to work fine. My trees were willing and needed re-potted. This seemed to help.I'm wondering if this product has a short shelf life though? I had some soil left over, which I saved to use for my next pot. I stored it in a cool dry place but now notice something growing In the bag? I purchased on the 3rd, so it's too late to return, but would really like to know if it's safe to use. I couldn't find any company information or website to reach out directly to them.

GREAT for Venus flytraps! Mine are doing well in this moss. Great value!
High quality moss for your finicky carnivorous plants. I've had my VFTs in it since I got them and they are doing VERY well.It is very dry when it shows up. A quick way to hydrate it is to put what you need in a gallon ziplock with a few cups of distilled water and shake it up.This is a great value considering how much other sellers sell this stuff for. Highly recommended!

Loam for my home
Needed 15 quarts for an 18 inch planter. Kinda pricey for dirt... good size, nice loamy texture. no mold, good health for a money tree. doesn't drain fast

Still appears to be of great quality!
I purchased it because of the "chunkiness" of the soil mixture portrayed in the picture. However, the picture does not accurately represent what you will receive. The mixture will be put to use with other compatible plants,

Great! But for carnivorous plants, give it a rinse first!
After soaking the spagnum moss, I used a TDS meter in the water and got a 50ppm reading. This isn't actually too bad, but carnivorous plants can be sensitive so give it a few rinses in distilled water first. Other than this detail, the spagnum moss is great! Only had to pick out a few sticks and it's wonderful at holding in moisture. Looks nice, too!
