A solid little performer..
The media could not be loaded. Its not a toy, its a very real and capable DJ controller which can give hours of entertainment in the right hands and mind. The Reloop Buddy is well built, quite robust all round with very well engineered implementation of all the units features and controls.A touch of history to bring things into perspective. In 2009 Vestax (now defunkt) released the Vestax VCI 300 a controller not much different to the Reloop buddy in size and purpose. Obviously some feature changes have occurred over the years between these two controllers due to software development but intrinsically they both serve the same purpose. The VCI 300 had a full metal body and TS balanced output but all in all thats where the main differences stay apart from performance features. The performance feature of the Reloop Buddy far supersedes the VCI 300 and as it happens so does the volume output I am glad to say. Now I have heard people saying that this controller is a little expensive, even well paid DJs griping about the price! I think thats unfair personally and the price of the Reloop Buddy is very, very good! If we again compare it to the lesser performing Vestax VCI 300 from 2009 then the price difference will make most peoples eyes water. The VCI 300 cost over £900 when first released, yep, over £900 nearly 14 years ago! So as a hobbie DJ like myself whom has been there before the release of the Vestax VCI 300 let me tell you, you are certainly getting your moneys worth with the Reloop Buddy. You are getting far more performance for your penny than anything else produced 10 years ago and at a fraction of the price. In regards to working with my ipad air 5, its seamless! I would recommend an Apple 10 or 12 watt charger (the older ipad chargers) they can be found on ebay easily enough and stick with the supplied, very nice PC/Power cable and your good to go!Pads on the controller are great, far better than the hard plastic buttons of yesteryear and respond very well. All the Faders don't feel cheap as they could but its pointless comparing to a modern £2000 rig! As the Buddy stands by itself its fine and with sensible use it will last a good few years. Its very much worth the asking price from Reloop and DJs whom have said it is not really out to be ashamed of themselves and probably need reminding of the older days of controllers and the performance and pricing. The Buddy is an excellent size for house parties, BBQs, mates flats and so on, even small public venues like bars and barbershops…why not?The Buddy is also powerful in output and I have no issues driving my AltoTX310 speakers with this controller, its loud and I am well pleased with Reloop for the output power. Take it from me this is a very capable unit and I have been messing with controllers since 2010 and have had almost every single one of them from all the manufacturers go through my hands at some point, so ignore the grumpy tight fisted gripes of some people and have confidence in your purchase especially if new, I say new because the 2nd hand DJ controller market is a minefield and can really dampen your spirit if your not experienced in buying these things and knowing what to look out for because these things do get bashed around in use and travel. In conclusion this is a well made, feature rich (especially for the beginner) very good actual sound quality and versatile unit that is fun to use and will last.

Very well built. Allows Nueral Mix on Djay without pro subscription and works on Meta Quest DJay app
Absolutely brilliant! I love this!!! I've had loads of cheap DJ controllers over the years. But this is by far my fav one yet... also, when connected to DJay App on my Macbook it allows me to do Nueral mixing even though I do not have a Pro subscription!!! That's incredible! A pro subscription on Djay (which you usually need to unlock this feature) should cost £50 a year, but this controller seems to just bypass that. I can easily remove drums, rhythm or vocals, so it's easy to make an acapella of any track which makes mixing super easy. The jog wheels feel a bit stiff compared to my previous controller, which was the Party Mix 2, but overall this is far better. The headphone cue works well, as the unit allows you to use headphones without having to do that silly split channel thing that some DJay controllers require. The output is via RCA which I have plugged into a W-King speaker with an RCA to jack cable, this works great for a house party. The buttons on this controller feel really nice and rubbery, and being able to change the colour of the buttons for cue points is a nice touch too. This also works on the Meta Quest version of DJay using the pass through mode.

You get what you pay for.
It's a very low quality product - yes, it's easy to use and fun, but quite a few of the toggles were way too sticky, I.e two of the paddles wouldn't return to center straight out of the box, and it frequently had some kind of malfunction where the whole thing stopped working half way through playing, plus random knobs would decide to stop working for a day, then start again - crucial knobs like the master volume. Sound card is also poor quality, distortion would come and go seemingly at random, even if the mixer was just sitting on its own with auto mix on the app. Reloop customer service were very unhelpful, just gave me canned responses without actually reading my questions. Thankfully Amazon accepted the return, but it's put me off this brand for life.

FANTASTIC
Definitely recommend. Easy to use with a ton of features. Very functional and compact so is easy to transport. USB port makes it easy to conect to iPad. Great fun. You won’t be disappointed.

Good idea let down by the use of low quality materials.
I had to return the first Buddy that I received as all of the controls on the left-hand side had dropped and therefore the faders and switches were not working properly. I would guess that the board was not screwed down on both sides hence the fault. The replacement has been nice to use, and it is a really good, fun product. However, the materials feel cheep, and one of the tempo slider stems bent from having an iPad resting on top of it. I was able to bend it back, but this was another indicator of the poor quality of the materials. While it is not that expensive, nor is it bargain basement cheep. I definitely would have expected the materials to be more robust. I would be very nervous carrying this around in a backpack.

Great piece of kit
Great for mixing on Dj Pro, however not compatible with any other dj software. Pretty difficult to scratch on “ for me anyway” but for the price it’s a great piece of kit

A decent controller if used with ipad and djay pro AI.
A powerfull budget controller best used with Ipad and djay pro AI to take advantage of all its features. If you use it with windows 10, please ensure you down load the reloop v5 drivers or it simply won't work. If you do choose to use it windows 10, be aware you will miss out on the neural mix functions, which is probably its best selling point. Biggest let down, it only controls 2 EQ's (high and low) the third knob is the filter only. I know it is also aimed at andriod tablets too, but couldn't get it to connect to the fire tablet after hours of trying, which was also disappointing. Its still a very new product and i'm sure reloop and algariddem will iron out all the bugs fairly quickly.

It’s very good if you are using iPad and not bad for Mac as well
It’s very easy to use for apple products ( Mac, iPad or iphone ) but also work for pc also ( using DJay) software) good for beginners and it’s easy and compact on the move .
