Perfect for harvesting a few extra tomatoes and peppers once the weather cools down. They work well with the Florida weave system. I also use these for making temporary cold frames in spring.The only downside is unless you double them up they let too much wind through if it's under 40 degrees or so. I lost all my tomato plants at the end of last season on an above-freezing day with 30mph winds.

This is a decent product, but its NOT heavy duty. Good for light frost but not heavy or durable for snow or ice in quantities or long-lasting. I live in the high desert so plants still get plenty of sunshine but that same sun - combines with winds & periodic light rain will cause the fabric to deteriorate fairly quickly. The stuff I have in weather-exposed areas needs replacement after 30-45 days. Next winter Ill probably use the rest only for the potted plants on the covered patio - to protect from cold but dry temps. You definitely get a fair amount of fabric for the cost.

i used this to shield my plants from frost and it works well. there's a good thickness to the material and it's not very slippery. i think you could use this as a sun shield and it would work well. it would block around 30% of sunlight. easy to cut to size too!

Covered all my plants. Once in a lifetime 8 inches of snow in Pensacola Florida. Liner was a plant saver.

Material was less sturdy and thick vs. another package I ordered on the same day from another company. I doubled up on this material to cover my plants for freezing weather/winds. It could be okay if you're looking for a lighter material. Let's put it this way, it's white and see-through, unless you double it up.

I purchased this fabric to cover garden beds when an unexpected hard freeze was headed our way. I live in an fairly warm climate so temps into the teens with windchills at 0/1 and isn’t normal at all. The fabric was easy enough to unroll and cover the plants. Sadly even the temps we had lasted several days which didn’t do a majority of the plants a service. I lost many but there were many I didn’t loose because of the cloth. Had there been a heat source that might have done better overall with just the freeze clutch. Will use again with normal light freezes but hard freezes don’t stand up to this. It does have a minimum temp.
