Tool worked perfectly.
Tool was simple to use and worked a treat. Not fitted the seals yet, as when I went to fit them I realised that although they will stop a lot of muck getting it, they won't completely stop water getting in... but they will make it very hard for the water to run out... potentially causing a bigger issue? I could be wrong.
