Simply put, the hardware has a lot of promise. It's still new, so it's going to take time before the simple support is there for it. That means that you'll still need to put in a bit of effort to make this device useful, at least at first. Keep in mind this device is intended for use as a custom router. Therefore, the ratings and notes provided are based on that goal.Pros:* Powerful hardware, excellent memory, more than sufficient storage for an embedded OSCons:* Poor Wi-Fi (without the hard-to-find, not included add-on) with VERY low power* Limited software support; needs a good amount of first-run prep work* Updates/upgrades are still very glitchy and limited* Fragile, cheap case* Needs user-supplied heatsinks and fan* You get either SATA OR the PCIe+USB port, not both.Conclusion:It's a low-cost device with a lot of power for its value, but it's going to need customization and time to be really useful. If you have the technical experience and access to parts and materials to adapt what you need to work with it, you can end up with something very useful. If you don't have the time and experience to put into getting it ready, this isn't (yet) for you.
