Adjustable Flip Latch for Double Gates (Black Finish)

I bought two of these when they came they were a little different, with different screws. Not a problem both installed fairly easy I just thought it was strange. They work great and were a good value

My doors are tightly fitted where they meet and latch has notch that goes around to the middle on both sides. Not a problem when doors are rounded off and or there is room in the middle. Mine did not and I used 2 support boards on my wooden doors below mounting surface. Same thickness as notch and that allowed Fluch mounting on door. Very sturdy product and great for double doors!

This latch is made extremely well. It's heavy, operates smoothly, and looks great. My single dislike about it is that the third hole on each side is just barely on the outer edge of a 2x4 frame piece (reference picture) so I didn't run a screw through it because I didn't want to split the frame edge. This small imperfection can be overcome if you have a larger gate gap than I do though. A great buy to be sure.

Purchased this latch for a 6' large double privacy gate and couldn't be happier! As soon as I took this latch out of the box I knew it was the perfect one. I took the advice of another reviewer and purchased stronger lag screws. Within a week of installing it we had wind gusts up to 101 mph and this thing held up strong, the gate didn't budge. Other neighbors around me all had wind damage to their gates and fences but my fence and gates all held up strong. Highly satisfied!!!

I installed this myself unassisted. It was a total breeze. I feel like this latch will stand up to normal wear and tear without issue.

Very heavy duty and much cheaper than Home Depot or other big box stores

I build a rather beefy driveway gate with two 6' sections. Getting a solid latch that could take the wind blowing against it has been a challenge- I was not putting a hole in the driveway for a cane bolt. This is PERFECT. Nothing chinsey about it, I actually went to beefier lag screws to mount it, as the screws would rip out or heads pop off before this latch failed.

This worked well to secure my double gate that kept flying open. The latch was a little longer than the board, so I just didn't use the outside edge screws. It still holds well. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about the wind damage and my gate hinges breaking now. This is a solid, heavy duty latch. Definitely worth the price.
