Excellent - works well with CDVI MVM Electric Deadlock
Well I was planning to make my own via Arduino - then I saw this. I already had an electric CDVI MVM electic deadlock installed and that is controlled by a Wifi switch. However this was complicated and wanted an easier way of accessing without having to go to my phone each time I wanted to enter the side gate.Took me a bit of time to work out the wiring but only need 4 wires, +ve, GND, common, and NO wires. Also, the wiring was a bit fiddly and could have done to be a bit longer. Stranded wire on this unit was also problematic when combining with solid core wires. Managed in the end. Had to rewire the Wifi unit to switch between the input and Gnd (instead of input and +ve). Once sorted, the default key code worked perfectly. Wifi unit continued to work also (wired in parallel). Programming the key fob was a bit of a pain and took quite a few goes to get right. Probably not entering the programming code correctly as there was no visible feedback until the code was entered correctly. Overall a well made device - bought 2 - and would recommend.

Love it.
Fitted one of these on a storage yard gate. Simple to install and 6 moths on it seems very reliable.

looks more expensive than it is
looks far more expansive than it is,well sealed in the back, the only complaint id have is the wiring coming from the unit is quite short and quite thin but i was extending anyways.easy to set up with the special power supply and changing the code weekly is a 10 second job.good value if it lasts more than 6 months.

Delivered on time and as ordered. So far so good, thanks.
Arrived on time, instructions are a bit rudimentary but I'll figure them out. Happy with the product. Now that I've had a chance to play with this a bit. It's a fun piece of kit, and works ... But,It's not secure. Some 'bad actor' could get the cover off and have access to all the wires that control the door entry latches. Just like in the 'old days' a bit like hot wiring your car.The solution to that problem, is to use it in Wiegand mode, and process the card scans inside your secure area. That works, quite well. But as far as i can tell in Wiegand mode, the numeric keyboard is not active. So there is the possibly that some tea leaf, could clone your card/token. And use the cloned card to gain access. It would be better if you could swipe the card and enter a pin ( you can do this in the stand alone mode ) but running in 'stand alone mode', I wouldn't want to expose anything secure with this device.Update: Turns out the keyboard isn't illuminated, but if you touch it, it does become active, and you can send a sequence of numbers to your arduino / pico etc.So, in Weigand mode you can swipe the card, then enter some digits ( PIN ). Just means you need to have the code to process the tag id & pin. Liking this more and more.I guess, OK for ultra low security or convenience locations.
