Remington HC5855 Virtually Indestructible Haircut Kit & Beard Trimmer, Hair Clippers for Men (15 pieces) , Yellow

I had a WHALL Colored recommended by too many but I didn't like it because when you hold it it seems like there is a CESSNA around your head and one bad day it fell from my hand and broke off one side and I discarded, I got a cordless one but very weak motor, so I started looking for a good one and then I ran into this Yellow REMINGTON HAIR CLIPPERS and after reading some reviews of the above 5,000 that already have I decided to buy it and I am very happy with it, it's small but powerful, it feels good while holding it, it comes with several size combs to do your haircut the length you want, Remington it's a very good brand and a lasting one, the only thing I don't like it's the very stiff cable, I hope it soften with the use

The clippers work very well, and are worth the money. The are pretty quiet and go through my hair like a hot knife through butter.That said, the clippers come with fewer accessories than the previous HC-5850 model came with. You get a cheap pouch now instead of a hard plastic case, there are no left and right ear taper clipper guards, there is no barber cape, you no longer get a pair of hair scissors, and there is no small brush to remove hair from the clipper blades.In exchange, there is now a decent beard brush included, and a 1/16th beard clipper guard which I dont believe was included previously. The vinyl bag is the worst change, the hard plastic carrying case was hugely superior to the bag. Thankfully I still have the hard case from my purchase of the 5850 like twelve years ago.To be clear, my twelve year old 5850 clippers still work just fine, and the only reason I bought a new set of clippers was because the clipper blades need to be replaced and I couldn't find a set of replacement blades for less than $20. For $18 extra I figured I'd get fresh clippers and new clipper guards since I lost a few sizes over the years.I fully expect these to last me at least a decade. Only time will tell if they are as well built as the HC-5850.

Excellent build quality, excellent value, As my title says It took me over 10 years to break my first pair, so I bought the same model again. The first ones broke a spring inside about 2 years ago, so I cut the remaining spring in half and stretched both halves and the trimmers still work that way to this day. albeit a bit louder then they were originally due to my spring mod lol. The main reason I purchased another pair is because I lost too many of the guides and realized it will only cost me a few dollars more to buy another pair then to replace all the trimmer heads I lost. The only part of these that i dislike is the wire. When I'm cutting someone elses' hair it's fine, but cutting my own hair it feels like its too stiff and constantly in my way. These would be perfect if the wire was softer and more flexible and maybe like 2 feet longer.

I am 30 and I have owned more hair clippers/trimmers than I can count. Meanwhile I still have the same t shirts I wore in highschool (so it's not because I'm just a huge clutz/negligent/abusive/materialistic...etc.).There are various ways they will break but often I find that it happens when you take them apart to clean them, when you put them back together they never work the same. This is extra frustrating because, in theory, the more often you clean and maintenance them, the longer they should last.With these clippers you don't need to worry about that. The blades are a separate unit that easily pops off and on. I love it. I can clean them and oil them every single time and not lay awake at night wondering if today was the last day I got to use that. I am kinda a crabby bitch and don't usually go out of my way to give positive feedback but I really like these. I've had them for awhile now, maybe about a year? They're genuinely awesome.It's super sturdy and solid and heavy and just ~feels nice~. My standard unit of measurement is "if you threw this at someone's head, how much damage would it do?" And in the case of this clipper ... You're just gonna hope it doesn't hit you with the sharp end.Even the blades guards are super sturdy! Again, many clippers have flimsy guards that wear down and bend and eventually you can't use certain sizes (usually the shortest ones). And then, if you contact the manufacturer to try to replace them, oh oops, that shape is only for THAT exact clipper, and they don't make that model anymore. But you can buy a new one for $25.So. I have no reason to write this review except that I like the thing, I have some fondness for my fellow humans, and if someone is shopping for clippers I wish for them to enjoy the pleasures of this device. I love these clippers! I got so tired of weakazz clippers with batteries always low on juice. Plug this one in and it hums and cuts like butter. 5 stars

This is the second one I’ve bought. They’re both running well. Great , easy to use with lots of accessories to help at a good price! Cuts GREAT!
