Solid option for the price.
Caveat: my first IPS panel. If this is your first IPS panel, you will not like the glow. Comparing across the category, it seems reasonable, but next to the old TN, it's a nightlight. Similarly, "black" just isn't as black. If that's a deal-breaker, this technology isn't for you. While we're on the "bad," the Display Ports are only v1.2, and there's no downstream option. At these lumens, you couldn't get HDR anyway, so don't bother.Great, so now the "good." Though I didn't need it, the stand is so nice that I kept it. Rock-sold and highly adjustable. All possible cables/adapters were included. The overall build is similar - sleek and compact, much like the XPS 13 that seamlessly connects via USB-C. The laptop isn't the primary source, however, and it happily receives data (move the USB-C) and full-res video (DP) from the workstation. My spreadsheet/programming/engineering life is much improved. If you live in photo/video editing, or want a high-contrast gaming panel, this might not be for you. If you don't need perfect color fidelity or HDR, you'll save a few $100 on a serviceable display, and probably won't notice the difference.

Incredible quality
This is is pretty incredible, in fact so incredible that I initially worried that it was too much vivid display for my home office, and I tried a smaller, lower quality monitor for a day, but ended up keeping this one. The picture is just incredible, probably the highest quality monitor I've ever owned. The best part for me is the single cable to connect to my Macbook Air and charge it. Works perfectly. I suggested this monitor for my wife, who bought it and loves it as much as I do.

Good monitor at a good price
I bought this for the 4K resolution. I use it for work (MS Office and similar apps) and also audio and video editing;I don't use it for gaming, so can't commen on that. Didn't want to spend a load of money but also didn't want to get burned by a cheap monitor with pour image quality. This fits the bill perfectly. If I needed another I'd absolutely buy the same one again.

Mac USB-C connectivity not working, surprising lag
I bought this monitor for home office use with a new M1 MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, the display would not recognize a USB-C signal from my laptop, even after trying multiple cables. In addition, the various USB connections on the monitor would not supply power as advertised to my phone or tablet. I was also surprised at the subtle lag and stuttering motion of the mouse pointer on the screen compared to the native display; my much older 24 in Dell monitor I'm replacing was smoother. The picture itself is quite good. I was able to connect via HDMI with an adapter. It's workable but not quite the streamlined setup I was hoping for.UPDATE: I was able to resolve some of the issues above. The lag was due to the monitor running at 30 rather than 60 Hz refresh rate. Mac OS Big Sur defaults to 30 Hz for some reason. You have to access hidden options to change the refresh rate. From Display Preferences, hold the option key while clicking "scaled" and check the "show low resolution modes" box. This will open options for additional resolutions and the refresh rate menu at the bottom of the dialog box. Increasing to 60 Hz made the monitor feel super smooth with no lag. If using an HDMI connection, you will need to make sure your cable (and USB-C adapter, if using one) supports 60 Hz at 4K. It's frustrating that MacOS defaults to sub-par options and makes changing them so cryptic, especially for such a capable system. I still have not been able to connect the video via USB-C, so I am having to use 2 connections. But the USB-C hub function is now working. I just have two cables running into my laptop now instead of one, which is still less streamlined than I was hoping. I think this is a Mac issue rather than a Dell issue, however, and I hope it will be fixed in a future MacOS update.

This is a very badly designed product
Compared to other monitors of the same price range, this monitor has some surprisingly bad designs I won't have expected (and therefore didn't pay attention to)1) This monitor doesn't have a headphone output while even a dell ultrasharp I bought 5 years ago has. It is very inconvenient if you use it for 2 computers and use headphone for meeting and entertainments.2) The USB-C port act weirdly: Other USB inputs will connect to the laptop connected with USB-C even if the input source is chosen to be the display port (my desktop)3) The monitor rotates but cannot be set to vertifical! Who would have thought?4) the view angle of this monitor is narrow and the edge of the monitor will show grey with standard desk distance.I definitely would suggest to not buy this monitor.

Beautiful Monitor Delivers
I will be buying another, and soon... My "old" Dell Optiplex Micro 7060 runs 4k beautifully, something I did NOT expect! Quiet and fast. I bought this for my new Optiplex 7010 and am using it now. Its fab! Easy setup with all terminal types. Can't wait to test it on my laptop with USB-C (Lenovo Yoga i7 daily driver)

Just what I wanted for word processing
I wanted a 4k monitor for writing my book which I update every year. I was not interested in gaming or photo editing but wanted a monitor that would display text well. This monitor fits that need. The text is crisp and easy to read. The 27 inch form factor is ideal. I used the Windows 10 default of 150% magnification and it works fine. The stand is a real plus, easy to adjust to the height and tilt I want. Some older programs will not scale the menu items correctly on a 4k monitor and the menu comes out very small and hard to read. Most recent programs do not need this fix. A simple fix is to:- Right click the programs' exe file- Left click the Compatibility tab- Left click, "Change settings for all users"- Left click, "Change high DPI settings"- Check the box, "High DPI scaling override" and select "System", OK, and Apply. Now your menu items will display the same size as you were used to with your 1080 monitor.
