OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPad Air (4th & 5th Gen) - Black

Love this case for the protection. A little tougher to get screen to react to taps but not a big deal.

Bought this thing yeaaaars ago and just now writing a review. My daughter has dropped her iPad countless times and this thing holds up so well! Definitely worth every penny!

Fast shipping. Installed the OtterBox case on my iPad and there are 2 layers of protection. Usual OtterBox high quality. There is a cover that snaps of the case of the iPad to protect the display and also acts a a stand. Don't hesitate to buy. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my ipad air 5 and it was great quality! It has a nice thick screen protector that snaps on with the case. It doesn't stick to the screen, instead it just sits on the screen and basically seals in the ipad. The case is also very thick and protective and grippy. HOWEVER: The second day of having the case, I felt that the screen protector was a bit too "grippy" for me, as it was too hard to slide my finger across. I returned the case and instead bought a stick on screen protector and cheap portfolio case, and I like that better. If you want maximum protection though, you can't go wrong with this case! Just note that the screen protector piece is plastic and therefore a bit more grippy than a glass screen.

Bought this case for my son who is extremely hard on his devices (he cracked the screen of this iPad the first day when it was in a different "rugged" case). This one is sleek enough that he doesn't feel like he's carrying around a case meant for toddlers and it isn't too bulky. The stand options in the front part of the case are nice, although he doesn't seem to use them much. I would if it were my case, although it would be nice to have more than two angle options). The apple pencil holder in the front part of the case works well to keep the pencil in pace and works with my off brand pencil. The screen protector doesn't hinder him in the way (any my son is very picky about that). My only issue with this case is the thin piece of hard plastic that covers the pencil charging side of the tablet —the piece that hinges up to reveal the charging pad—keeps coming off. We've just left it off and it hasn't been a problem to day.

Great case very sturdy

I hate to admit, but I have an “IPad baby”. Anyway, this case is worth the money, and it made it through 3 years of life adventures. His last one eventually gave in after much mishandling and even though I shopped for a cheaper alternative, I knew it was worth the price and functionality. While it’s a little bulky, the stand is practical and makes it easy for all of us to use and watch something together. I would recommend, especially because cleaning is pretty simple.
