Beadalon 19-Strand Bead Stringing Wire, 0.018-Inch, Satin Copper works great for most beading projects. It great to find it in the 19 Strand, usually I can only find the 7 strand which is jut okay.

Great all purpose beading wire
I use Beadalon stringing wire for all my beading projects. I have tried other brands, but I come back to Beadalon for strength, flexibility, and consistency. It has a twisted wire covered in a smooth coating that protects both your wire and your beads. If you aren't sure which version to buy, (7, 19, or 49-strand) here is a brief explanation. The more strands in the interior wire twist, the more flexibility your finished product will have. Have you ever had a beaded bracelet that was difficult to pull together around your wrist because it seemed too stiff to bend? Using the higher number stranded wire will make that bracelet more flexible around. It is the same with necklaces. Higher stranded wire will feel more supple and comfortable. I haven't found this copper color in 49-strand, but 19-strand is still much better than 7. Sometimes it may not matter, which is why I stock all different strand levels, but in general, after 6 years of beading experience, I'm sticking to 19 or 49-strand from now on.What thickness (gauge) should you choose? Again it depends on several factors including how heavy your beads are, how long the piece is, what kind of wear and tear do you anticipate (some people are harder on jewelry than others) but as a general guide, I use .015 gauge when the beads are lighter and the holes drilled might be smaller and .018 for mostly everything else. The higher wire core (49-strand) is much better if you are stringing heavy stones and want to use .021 gauge. Remember that if you are crimping your wire through a clasp at the end, you will have to feed 2 strands back through several beads. The heavier gauge the wire, the thicker it is, so make sure you test your end beads to be sure the hole is big enough. I can't tell you how many times I have been annoyed with myself for not checking that until I have finished my design and are ready to finish off.I give this product 4 stars only because the 49-strand is better overall and gets the 5-stars. Otherwise, for what it is, it is a great product that I recommend it from experience.
