I use this to sift through my hermit crabs surface substrate to clean any feces left over at the end of ever week or so. It catches little particles, however the sand and its mix completely go through it, allowing me to only pick up the left over food, feces, or other dirty stuff that can be left behind.Also it is very easy to clean, easy to use, and big enough to pick up a large area of sand making the cleaning process quicker!

I bought this to help clean the tiny clumps in our cat box. This works great. It's heavy duty and hasn't rusted or been bent (not yet anyway :-) ). And get's all the small stuff that a regular cat scoop misses that causes the litter to begin to smell. I'd order again. We got two one for each cat box.

I got these fine scoops for my cats litter box for when there are smaller bits that my regular scoop can't get out. I love using these scoops as an added measure of cleanliness, just to make sure that all of the small bits of clumped up litter and poop are able to be scooped out. The mesh is quite small so it'll be able to get out most of your unwanted litter. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants their litter box to be a bit more clean!

I ordered these to get a deeper clean of the cats’ litter box. Regular cat litter scoopers don’t pick up some of the smaller clumps. After I get the big stuff, I run this through every other day or so to pick up the small clumps. Works like a charm! Sometimes the clumps get stuck in the mesh but a quick tap gets them out. It seems made well enough to last a good while.

I live near the ocean and purchased this item to scoop up sharks teeth that I spot in the water. I can easily scoop the "treasure" before the tide takes it out or in. Nice size and the meshing is perfect to release the sand, but keep the sharks teeth in. Good sized handle too ..... not huge, but you can hold on to it. Recommend if you are obsessed with finding sharks teeth.

These scoops are perfect for secondary scooping of the fine corn/casava cat litters (Garfield Ultimate Tiny Grain & Sustainably Yours Multi-Cat Plus). It's the most amazing litter I have ever used, but it is super fine. My old litter scoop works well for the main clumps. But sometimes if the cats are extra feisty in the boxes (I have 2 boy cats that love playing in the litter), some clumps break off into smaller particles that my regular scooper doesn't get. That's where these scoopers are perfect. It's a pretty fine mesh -- not too fine for the individual grains to fall through, but fine enough to catch the smaller clumps that my main scoop misses. Glad I found these reptile sand scoops. I was going crazy searching for fine mesh cat litter scoops and coming up empty.

I don't own any reptiles. I use this on my 3 Cat boxes to pick up those small particles that tend to get away. Although surely not designed for this it does a pretty good job the only problem being that it has squarish corners rounded edges would work a lot better, but using this allows me to keep the litter pretty clean and get an extra week or two out of a pail of letter. It's paid for itself several times over since I've purchased it.
