Rothco Boonie Hat - Ultimate Sun Defense for Outdoor Adventures

I was looking for a boonie hat, for the Summer, and this one fits the bill. It fits comfortably, helps keep some sun off of your head and neck, and gives that nice, casual vibe.The first thing I did, when I received the hat, was to give it a quick hand wash in hot water. Mostly, I just did that to help relax the brim a bit, so I could shape it better.I like the hat, and might look into getting another one in either a dessert or city camo pattern.

Nice hat for working outside

I bought it to make a TikTok as captain price and got 19.7k likes and then fell in love with it. It’s a good fit and very comfortable. The waterproofing is a big plus. Great protection from the sun while I hike and hunt.The only complaint I have about it is that the straps that hang from it aren’t aligned with the drainage holes which gives it the appearance of poor craftsmanship. Materials are good but their quality control needs some work, as it’s hard to justify such a mistake on a product like this. I take away 1 Star for that.

Great hat that has held up well for the price.

I bought this so that it’s large enough to put on with a ponytail and it worked out great. Functional and nice looking. I found one at REI that I loved but it was $95. That hat was sturdier and the brim was stiff enough so that you could shape it. This hat is lighter weight and the brim is softer BUT, it’s every bit as good looking and functional. I almost think the more expensive one would be too warm on a hot day. This is a good buy!

Love the hat. Keeps the sun off my face and ears. A wider brim may block more sum, but that would make me look like a moron. This hat is like the I wore 50+ years ago.

The hat was exactly what I wanted and expected. But took 4 WEEKS to deliver.

I’ve always enjoyed this type of cover when I was in the service. It’s almost like the original but not quite. They did a good job making it and have no complaints. For the price and quality, I would buy again.
