What a great tool! I have been burning firewood most of my adult life and wish I would have bought this tool way sooner. After reading other reviews, I chose to buy the better tool the first time around and I am very impressed with the quality and ruggedness. This tool is bulletproof, an appropriate weight, it is sharp, highly visible and well balanced. It prevents you from repeatedly bending down to pick up firewood logs to toss or move them. You can easily hook and drag small logs to a place where it is easier to cut them up, or use it to drag large rounds without having to pick them up and carry them for splitting. You can stick individual pieces of firewood and "flip" them into separate piles for sorting by cut length or types of wood without having to bend down to pick them up. It makes processing firewood so much easier! Going forward, this tool will always be on my wood lot or in the back of my truck when going woodcutting.Money well spent. If you cut your own firewood, save some wear and tear on your back- buy this tool!

So far so good. It arrived when they said it would. I had never used a Hookeroon before but it was amazing. It made light work of cleaning up a fairly large tree that the wind took down. I have only used it for one project so I cant speak to the longevity of the tool but so far, I would recommend it.

I split and stacked 10 cords of firewood this past weekend and this tool was incredible. It bites and hangs onto the wood real well. I've never used a hookaroon and I will say you do have to figure out how to use it. But once you get good it's almost like dancing with wood as you spike the wood and swing it up onto the stacks. It's a real back saver as you don't bend down at all to pick wood up off the ground. When moving large rounds around you just spike them and drag them rather than lifting and carrying or bending down and rolling them around. I found the 30" length the perfect length for swinging a split up off the ground and dropping it down on the back row of the stack too.It's got a good weight and balance to it. Not to heavy but not so light you'd worry about it getting bent or crimped if a log fell onto it. The blue powder coated finish is very thick and durable. Since this tool is stainless and aluminum there is no chance of rust to worry about. The only thing I worry about is the rubber/foam type grip. I have a feeling it will eventually tear and I'll have to replace it with hockey stick tape someday. Makes me want to go ahead and wrap it now to protect the cushiony foam before it gets damaged.Anyway, a great tool. Makes stacking wood enjoyable. It adds a new level of ease and efficiency to manipulating splits, rounds and logs.

The media could not be loaded. Such a great tool with top notch build quality! I would've purchased this years ago if I knew what a back and time saver this is. You won't be disappointed, it definitely exceeded my expectations.

I wish I would have bought one of these years ago. Makes handling timber a breeze. Saves your back and time. Small learning curve on where to strike and removal. Great tool for the old and young.

Third hookaroon I've purchased in three years. First was the fiskars. It was too light in the handle and would send all the shock to my wrist. It works, but at the end of the day you're gonna pay for it. The second was one of the green composit handle things for a cheaper price. It was great for one seoson and the first cord of the second. The handle shattered at the head. The head fell to the ground in the middle of the job. The third was this logrite. Great weight, solid design. Don't mess around trying to save a few bucks on a hookaroon. In the long run I paid double in the end. Buy the better tool out the gate!

Love the long reach. Have the tailgate down and stuff in the way. This will get it. Was thinking about getting the 30in, but i wanted something as long as a hockey stick or a hoe. 48in works fine. I use this for unloading or stuff i cant reach. Will try to use it for pulling logs off clif side and see what happens.
