GORE WEAR C7 Men's Racing Bib Shorts with Seat Insert

I've had or have LG, Pearl Izumi, Voler, Pactimo, Castelli, and some others. To be fair, not all of the others were their highest-end/best bibs as these are from Gore, (Voler and Pactimo were) but these are more comfortable pre-ride, during long rides (all day, 200+ miles) and don't rub or chafe whatsoever for me than any other. Pad is just the right amount of support and fits me well. The crotch area is different from most bibs I have (Pactimo are similar) and is much less likely to bunch up or cause discomfort around the man parts. Leg openings aren't overly tight but stay in place. Straps are super comfortable. They work well in hot weather. They cost a lot but are worth it for me. They have lasted well, have had one pair for two years, others less, but they are all still like new. I like them so much I now own three pair.

I was excited to try these bib shorts in the tropical climate as the material is very light. However, after the first ride, my butt had gashes from the seams around the padding. I thought washing them would soften the seams, but the same gashing occurred. I tried putting glide on the seams but that did not work. Unfortunately the return window had passed and I am stuck with $160 bike shorts thast I have used less than six times. My recommendation is to by Assos shorts.Update 1/5/22:I reached out to Gorewear's customer service and they could not have been more concerned and helpful. They are replacing my C7 bib shorts with a different model they feel will not cause any issues. Thank you Gorewear.

Working well so far for 2 rides. Seems like a much better alternative than the 10yo bibs I was using. Material is thin but supportive, straps are comfortable. Chamois seems ok so far and wind panel seems like it will be effective. Riding on a trainer now so hard to tell.

These are my favorite shorts. Such a nice fabric and really comfortable. I’ve done a 80 and 110 miles rides in these and couldn’t recommend them more.

Does not fit at all. Horrible padding and fabric.

Once you fit it, it does not move out of place after several hours in the saddle and it has great compression. High quality material used. However, it gave me the worse chafe I have ever had in all my years in sport. The chammy cut does not work for me.
