NAC is a precursor of L-cysteine. So I figure why not just take L-cysteine? The increase of L-cysteine elevates glutathione, which helps prevent oxidative stress. L-cysteine also helps with inflammation, blood glucose levels, lung health, mental health, etc. It also helps keep me regular--which I wasn't taking it for--but is a nice benefit. LOL!Interestingly, our dog goes after this particular supplement. For some reason she loves how this smells or something. If I'm taking it, she begs for it. I wish a vet or someone would do some research on how this effects dogs. I would almost bet that they need it... But I'm hesitant to give it to her until I know for sure how it will effect her.

I have tried several Solaray products and have not been disappointed. This one is no exception - the price is fair, and the capsules are easy to swallow.
