What I like: Very sturdy, no tipping or wobbling. Vented-style metal ironing board allows steam to escape below the ironing surface, so no warping is expected, as I had experienced with my two wooden "big board" overlay (add-ons) over the past 20 years. Multiple height adjustments available, which should provide a comfortable work surface for most people. The cover seems well-made (but it's hard to know after just one week of use).What I dislike: I intend to mostly use this as a "big board" with the extension usually attached. It attached (slid on) easily, but I cannot remove it without someone to help me because it fits so snugly. Also what I dislike: The padding for the cover is a man-made foam of some sort; eventually, I will make a new cover with cotton batting. Another thing: There is a slight "jump" where the attachment fits onto the standard ironing board, and it will never be completely smooth where the two pieces fit together. There were no instructions included, which would have been helpful (the pictures posted here on Amazon were helpful to refer to). An instruction sheet could have included Reliable's contact information, in case they ever wanted to hear from their customers or sell replacement covers. Also, the website says there is a 10-year warranty, but how would I ever document that with "purchase" confirmation other than my emails from Amazon?What I hate: The packaging is inadequate for the size and weight of this ironing board. The first Reliable Ironing Board I ordered arrived with damage to the box and to the ironing board itself. The addition was dented and bent and it would not slide all the way onto the standard ironing board. Other than the ironing board pad itself, there is no padding in the box, so the heavy metal pieces bang against each other during shipment (and whatever else is stacked on top of them in the delivery truck). The box was crushed at one end and open partway. It was initially held closed with large metal staples and a few pieces of packing tape. I returned the first ironing board, and ordered a second one. The second one arrived with the box COMPLETELY open on both long sides (metal staples only, no tape had been used). I was surprised to see that there was nothing missing from the box, and this time, nothing was damaged and I was able to assemble the ironing board as expected. For such an expensive product, I would expect that Reliable could spend a few more dollars on better packaging.All in all: I am a very satisfied long-time user of Reliable's irons, which is why I ordered their ironing board. I'm happy with the second ironing board I received, but wish it was a couple inches wider so I could iron a fat-quarter on it without moving the fabric. Also, if they made a rectangular ironing board with the same type of construction and materials (without the pointed nose), I would have bought that in an instant, and it would have likely cost less since there wouldn't have been the need to manufacturer the add-on piece. (Reliable Corp., are you listening?)

The sturdiest iron board I owned. Finally no shaking and moving when ironing. Stable like a heavy metal table. Quality seems fine - time will tell. Easy to store, but could be heavy to move around for some users. What I like is that you can adjust easily and store items to iron beneath the board. And yes, it is expensive. But I finally don't mind ironing as much as before, so worth it for me.

I wasn’t very happy when it arrived. The box was banged up and had several fist sized holes in it. The box was also partially opened. Of course the delivery driver positioned all this against the house when they delivered it!😡Having said all that, the ironing board itself appears undamaged and is fabulous. I’ve used it once and am excited to get a lot more use out of it. It’s very stable and wide enough for an entire WOF. It’s also deeper than a regular board so I have to adjust my fabric less often. I love the added iron platform so setting my iron down doesn’t take up room from the board. It’s great!

This board is so versatile. It easily converts from a board that is best for ironing garments to one that is best for ironing quilting fabrics. It is wider than my old traditional ironing board and it is heavier. Very substantial. I like that it came with the heat resistant ironing pad (two pads--one for the traditional board and one for the big square board) and had a built in place for my iron that has a large water tank.

I have always ironed on the rectangular end of the ironing board. I never did understand the purpose of that Pointed end. When I ironed my husband's shirts it was so much easier to use the rectangle end of the Of the board. I especially love this ironing board because it is so much larger. I just finished washing all of the shears from my Bedroom windows and ironed them quickly and eadily. Beats steaming them! Especially love !this board for quilting. It is huge! It is very stable. Excellent quality! Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes! If yours quilter you'll want this in your sewing room. It's nice and heavy.

When placing the added quilter's extension rectangle to the Reliable 300LB ironing board, it does NOT fit correctly. The extension makes a HUGE LUMP across the entire width of the board right in the dead center of the board. Even when adding the rectangular pad on top, the extension board is NOT FLAT and will not allow large items to be ironed smoothly. The ironing board frame is a very sturdy; however, for such a huge price, everything should fit perfectly to make a smooth ironing surface. Sadly, it does NOT fit correctly and is NOT smooth! If you don't want a lumpy surface for ironing, avoid this board if you plan to use the square extension for ironing large items such as quilting fabrics, sheets, etc. I've asked for a refund from Amazon and am sending this board back. Very disappointing!

This is one of my best purchases yet. I love the fact that it doesn't slide across my hardwood floors. I love the fact that has a place for the iron and starch a whole for the iron cord to feed through so that it does not get in the way. I love the fact that it is plenty long enough to iron my jeans and long quilting fabrics. I did purchase a much nicer ironing board cover. This was a very expensive purchase for me but well worth it.

Quite expensive, but I got tired of buying the cheap ones and the one that was made in Italy that I purchased from Amazon was so cheaply made. I couldn’t believe it. It broke within a month so I just threw it out so throwing good money after bed this is a beast, this will definitely stand up well-made and it has a dual purpose absolutely worth the money
