As a construction company who goes through some drop cords these have saved us a ton of wasted money just by replacing the ends if the cord is cut anywhere. Simple to switch out, well made and so far have been very durable over the last 6 months.

Value and functionality

I'm revising my review. After reading my review, the manufacturer reached out to me an offered a refund showing they are a stand up company with great customer service. They also advised me the ad stated what gauge wire these will accept, so I should have noticed that before my purchase.Not sure about all the nice reviews for these. The screws that would secure the electrical cord are way too short. You could only use a very small, probably a flat cord with these. The screws appear to be not standard, and something I could not replace with a longer version from a hardware store. And wouldn't ya know my return window closed yesterday.

I was tired of having too much extra wiring when we set up our campsite at Disney Fort Wilderness . We set up the same lights every time so I cut all of the cords to length and installed these. Very heavy duty and worked great .

These plugs & sockets are sold under a number of different company names, but all the plastic housings have identical defects and suffer from crude screw terminals for the cord connection. These are the most affordable products and can be made to work reliably with some diligence. For connecting to stranded wire cords, I recommend tinning the stranded wire ends to avoid problems from stray wire strands. Wiring connections will be mechanically stronger if you shape the wire ends in an L shape or even better using a J shape, but available space is very limited and assembly tedious.
