Our family uses this for homeschooling lab experiments. It is worth every penny we spent because it is durable and accurate. Easy to set up and use and comes in a box that can be kept and used for storage.

I did a lot of research before ultimately choosing this triple beam scale. I thought this one came with a tare bar, but it does not. I can handle the math, but a tare bar would be much more convenient. Overall this scale is excellent and very accurate. The weighing plate is less than ideal without a tare bar, but it gets the job done.

Arrived on time, functions as advertised. Great product; great value. In my case, it was calibrated and ready to go upon opening and removing the protective gaskets.

Upon opening the box I found numerous, tiny metal pellets. I thought they might be important, but couldn't find where they came from. As I have been building my ceramic studio from scratch I did not get to actually open the box and use the scale until over a month had passed since it's delivery. By the time I was ready to mix my glazes (incredibly important to be accurate to the tenth of a gram), I was unable to get the scale to tar out at 0. I then tried using a standard weight, and again was unable to get the scale to read the correct weight. I then examined the scale further and found that the weighing surface head, that arrived "attached", was in fact simply sitting in its place via gravity. I pulled the head off the scale to find that the internal bolt was loose inside and I could not get it down to it's attraction to an internal magnet. As I began fiddling with it more metal beads began to fall out. At this point, I found as many of the beads as possible, funneled them back into the scale head, and tried to tar the scale out once more. It worked, but only for a second until the metal beads again began to fall out through the opening left by the absent bolt. I now have a completely inaccurate scale rendering me unable to make the glazes I needed weeks ago. There is also no way for me to contact the company through Amazon, thus this lengthy and unfortunately negative review. I would love to simply exchange this faulty one for a working one if the company stands by their product.

Best brand in my opinion! It’s the same brand in high schools and colleges, it can withstand the abuse of a student! I recently used another cheaper brand and had to return it the same day.

I order this triple-beam because of the tare. Received the item and the is no tare on the scale so it is a big pain. U am thinking of returning it because it was not what I ordered. If you are wondering what the rare us it is the items to zero the scale when using a bowl or scoop.
