Reasonable for the price
Prior to purchasing these casters, I read a lot of reviews for this product. There seemed to be a common thread related to the failure of the mounting screws. This was useful information. My approach to mounting the casters was to drill a pilot hole using a 5/32 -inch drill bit, which is slightly oversized, to minimize drag on the screw. I also made sure to drill the pilot hole deeper than the screw length so that the entire travel length of the screw was within the pilot hole. I also used a standard Phillips screwdriver rather than a drill driver to insert the screws. I used 4 screws per mount, even though I have a relatively light workbench. The supplied template worked fine for locating the screws. I was able to mount the casters using the screws provided without any of the screws breaking. There was also a common concern regarding the stability of the casters. The primary complaint was that the casters would collapse while moving the workbench. I have not had that problem moving my bench across a concrete floor. However, I can see how that might be a problem moving over an uneven surface such as an asphalt driveway that's not as smooth as a concrete floor. The casters do not seem to be that firmly locked in the down position. Overall, I am satisfied with these casters. Installation was relatively easy, and so far, they've worked fine.

Great value and worked very well to move workbench
I was always moving my one workbench around and decided to try these casters. I really like these. It fit my application and now makes it so easy to move the bench. They are very sturdy - I looked at some others and these hold more weight than I needed but I was drawn to them.Only thing I would caution folks is when using the template to mount, make sure you do NOT put upside down. I see (or checked/tried) hole pattern and the bottom holes on brackets are different from top. It was easy to mark and install. I did however mark the bottom hole pattern on the bench leg after I centered it on the leg, then pre-drilled holes and mounted bracket. Then drilled pilot holes for top part of the mount and used screws provided. Worked very well. For company - future updates I would apply a means to attach each wheel to a bar or wood bar in order to raise both casters at the ends.... I found a place on youtube whereas someone did that and it looked really to use versus one at a time. Depending on the users application this configuration with a bar would be easy for heavy instances. All in all, great purchase.

These casters work great for mobile 6-inch jointers and 13-inch planers
Floor-standing 6-inch jointers and 13-inch planers both need a base of nearly 2 ft x 2 ft. A handy lumber to use for a base is 5/4 (actual thickness = 1 inch) deck planking, which is heavy & strong yellow pine - and inexpensive. The 1-inch plank thickness works well with all the 1-inch #10 screws used. An 8 ft plank length is marginal, but they also come in 12 ft length (usually straight, but check). A 250 pound jointer can be outfitted with a base without ever having to lift it. Screw & glue a 3/4-inch thick x 1-inch or so wide runner along the inside bottom of two appropriate lengths (about 2 ft) of plank. Five 1.5-inch #6 or #8 screws should hold on their own if glue bond not strong. Tip the the jointer over until more than half of its housing length is resting on the two opposite runners. Use a rubber hammer to tap the two runners on their sides to keep containment, and tap them length-wise until they line up at each end ready to have the front & rear planks attached. Use 4 heavy gauge outside corner braces needing six 1-inch #10 wood or sheet metal screws each. If you mount the bottom of the caster wheel plate 1.75 above the frame bottom, the frame will clear the floor by 3/4-inch with wheels down, and rest solidly on its own legs with wheels up. (Keep focused on which way is up for the caster frames.). Be sure to leave a little room near the runner endpoints so that the jointer legs can reach through to the floor when wheels are up. The operation of lowering and raising the wheels is reasonably easy. The caster wheel assemblies come with everything needed, complete with lock washers and 24 1-inch #10 screws. Great product! A planer stand can be built with 2x3 legs, a 3/4-inch plywood top on a standard 1x4-inch board top frame, and the same 1-inch planking bottom frame. Screws of appropriate length can be used to secure the 2x3's to the upper and lower frames There are many mating surfaces in such a stand, and these can be glued & screwed to give strong stability with wheels up.

Great wheels
I put these in a heavy steel table and they work great. Since I was mounting them to steel legs, I replaced their screws with 1/4-20 bolts and nuts. Install is as simple as drill and attach. The only tricky part is tightening the wheels because there is no room to get a wrench in the wheel post. I ground the included wrench flatter and took off the sides and then it was quick.I got the 900 lb wheels which is more then I needed but with the discount they were almost the same cost as the 600 lb set.

These solved my problem.
I have a Wilmington Grill. This beast is made of stainless steel. It's really heavy. It has wheels on one end only. You have to lift the other end to move it, 75 lbs according to my bathroom scale. While a bit of a pain for me, other folks who had to move the grill drug it along our deck planks, which marred them.I installed these "SPACECARE Workbench Casters Retractable Casters Kit 600Lbs" on the existing stainless steel legs. Needless to say I had to replace the provided wood screws with 1/4" nuts and bolts. I also had to drill the stainless steel legs. The results were worth the broken drill bits. These casters appear to be strong enough to do the job. I have seen no bending.I can now move this behemoth around with ease. Then release the casters to plant the grill exactly where I want it to stay, at it's original level. My 5' wife can do this! Highly recommended for this use.

Simple and effective
I suspect my new outfield table/workbench weighs about 350 lbs. These were easy to install and carry the table with ease. Use the right size of Phillips screwdriver to avoid stripping the crew heads.
