Replacement For Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Upgrade Pro 5 LCD Touch Screen Display Assembly (Upgrade Version)

Works well, plenty bright enough (in fact too bright, but that's a problem with the Surface Pro 4 in general, not this screen). Touch works perfectly with screen and my 1776Pro Pen, no calibration issues.Mine arrived very well protected in a polystyrene box, and also included adhesive strips. Can't say how good they are as I wasn't expecting any so ordered a roll of 3M screen tape.When removing the old screen, use plenty of heat and take your time- the standard ahesive will fight you. I used a soldering heat station with a wide nozzle after warming the whole Surface on a radiator. Use proper plastic pry tools and spudger, plenty of alcohol ideally two or more suction cups. Be very careful with the antenna are- avoid prying around the top middle section of the screen otherwise you'll slice them off. Get the left, right and lower sides to release first, and pivot around the top edge if possible.

Its worth spending a 'little' extra to buy this kit whick includes everthing to update your SP4 to the SP5 screen, the screen is crisk and clear and both finger touch and pen work flawlessly. Changing the screen is not as tricky as you might think, start removing the old one allong the botom edge and leave the top edge to last, use some heat to loosen the adhesive and guitar picks to slowly easy up the screeen. There are antennas along the top edge, if you leave this to last it easier not to harm them. You will see shiny metal cans over where the cable connect on the SP4 board, these can be gently teased off with a pin, remember to put them back. Clean all the old adhesive off the SP4 before using the new adhesive strips supplied or the screen won't lay flat.

My SP4 developed the overheating flickering screen issue. I fitted the new screen and all is well with the screen so far, good display, touch all ok. A small L-shaped board needs to be moved from the old screen to the new. It took about 3 hours, most of that time was spent getting the old screen off. I destroyed my wifi and bluetooth antennas in the process - be careful along the top edge of the screen either side of the camera etc. I fixed that by getting an EDUP USB wifi + bluetooth dongle.The instructions are virtually non existent and I still don't know what the piece of paper was trying to tell me. However, there are several decent videos on you tube that show you how to do it.

Installation instructions while included are very difficult to read. TBH if you're repacing a surface pro screen you will/should have done your research and reviewed lots of online tutorials before commencing.The screen itself is well packaged and an excellent fit for my surface pro 4 1724(LG screen version) . Some screen bleed in the top right corner and a very slight flex detected in the center of screen when using touch. On the whole a very good product sucessfully applied and now have an operable surface pro.

Surface pro 4 doesn't deserve a so poor quality (almost pixelated) screen. And you don't deserve to pay that much for a low quality screen (and the replacements work that follows). It looks like that you have set a very low screen resolution in system settings!! DON'T BUY IT

Only advice is to correctly attach the 2 connectors to the N-trig. I struggled to find what was causing the touch feature not to work. Initially it worked only with the mouse, and I tried to update the driver, special re-boot, etc. Nothing worked. The problem was the connection to the N-trig. I cleaned the connectors with isopropyl alcohol, reconnected and it worked. Simple...
