KitchenAid4-Slice Toaster with Manual High-Lift Lever - KMT4115, Onyx Black

The best toaster I've had in years. We are a large family and can go through appliances quickly. This one holds up very well. The Kitchaid brand never fails in my own. Browns toast perfectly to your liking. The only thing i do NOT like about this toaster, is the fact that it dings really loudly when it's done. I certainly can go without that, especially with as much toast as we make.

I had to have this toaster! It’s the full package! The larger slots for bagels and having its own heating setting specifically for bagels is a great feature. The toasting settings is great, you get the perfect toast every time! It’s super easy to use! Perfect for families as it has four slots for toasting more breads at once. It is a very large toaster, much bigger than any I have seen before. It looks absolutely stunning on your counter top though! I do wish it came in a solid black though!

This is an attractive appliance. You can toast one to four slices at a time. The bagel setting toasts one side of the bagel, if desired. Toasting seems slightly slow. Does not take oversize bread.

I read too many reviews when looking at toasters that some models had failed elements and would no toast one side or burned one side and didn't toast the other. This one works perfectly.

The other day I wrote the negative review below - I apologize!! spoke with KitchenAid and they were GREAT! It was my fault so please ignore my earlier comments. I will continue to evaluate the toaster, but with a change my opinion has reversed! Sorry!I did, as I always do, due diligence before purchasing this toaster. Good reviews, good name, fair price, etc.The toaster is a joke - I've had it for a week, tried all the settings, used it for toast and bagels and it's junk.The final straw was an hour ago - another bagel, inserted per the directions, and one half gets toasted and the other doesn't.Sadly I don't have the time to send it back right now, but I'll sure be thinking about it for a while. We got a new one to replace a two slice toaster, and I'm now sorry we gave the other one away.

My only complaint would be the pre-pop-up alert sound…not great for people with sensory issues or weak bladders. It toasts bread and bagels beautifully.

I bought it to replace an old Kitchen Aid toaster which served us well for many years. I appreciated the art deco look and endurance of the former toaster, and liked the similar look of this one. Unfortunately, I never know what the results will be after I try to toast bread, even for the same breads at the same settings. The results are either hardly toasted bread, or overly toasted bread that sometimes is inedible. I don’t need to be throwing out bread OR hovering over an appliance to make sure that when I put back the hardly toasted bread for a second time it’ll be properly toasted. Kitchen Aid failed with this appliance. I had hoped this toaster would “settle down” from its newness and become a reliable toaster, but that never happened. Thus, I cannot recommend this toaster, and will be wary of this company’s other products in the future.
