Received item with no protective packaging so box was bashed to hell; could have happened in transit or could have been that the item was certainly a return as there was pretty much nothing in the box. Box was missing the unit, bottle and flange, all key components of the pump.As for how the product works, I couldn’t say as I couldn’t test without the above parts. In short, can’t slate Philips Avent or rave about them as I didn’t get past the packaging.Overall, hugely disappointed.UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW:Ok, so received a replacement a couple of days ago from a different supplier than the first; the price had gone up by £20-£30 but if you actually get the product then hey ho.The pump itself is thus far great. I really like the Philips Avent manual pumps; effective but a little tough on the hand muscles after a while and you most definitely cannot ‘power pump’ efficiently with a manual, also, the handles were very flimsy and kept falling off half way through a squeeze…not ideal. That being said, the fit were great, pressure was good etc etc and after a long time searching, I finally found a pump that suited me, hence I went in for an electric. The electric is exactly the same as the manual except it’s, well, electric; same fit, same pressure and same results less the hand cramps. Over the few days I have been using it, I have noticed an increase in my supply, I can ‘power pump’ with no effort other than time investment and I have no sore areas. Overall, I really, really like it and I’m glad I went with another order rather than give up on the item due to one unscrupulous seller, yeah it cost me more than maybe it should but like I said, hey at least I got it this time and it was worth it.It’s not the cheapest of pumps that I will say, especially for a single (I prefer a single so that I have at least one hand free) and I’m sure it’s not the most powerful, however, it does exactly what it advertises which is providing a ‘Comfortable’ pumping experience. All in all I would highly recommend especially if you don’t need the suction power of a Dyson Hoover

I got the Avent Single corded one as a gift when i was pregnant with my daughter back in 2020. I used it religiously until i stopped BF. I used other brands too (much more expensive at that) and this one was by far the most comfortable and easy to clean and use. Got the most milk out too. About 9-10 oz combined sometimes!! Only downside was i was constantly attached to the mains.Gave birth to my second baby in July 2022. Because i had to leave my son for 6 days and was going to travel a lot i wanted to keep my supply from dropping. Since i had the corded it wouldn't of been easy to pump in plane or car so i bit the bullet and bought the Avent single premium electric portable one. At first i was worried it wont have the same power suction as the corded one as its portable, but to my pleasant surprise it is the same. When i use both on both boobs simultaneously i do not feel any difference in suction. I absolutely love it!! The display is very handy too as i used to time my sessions on my phone and when i forgot it somewhere around the house and being tied to the wall was very inconvenient, thus seeing the portable pump screen right there next to me is much much easier.I pumped everywhere on the go (plane, car, cafes, restaurants even at my brothers wedding lol) and it lasted for good few sessions too before needing charge. (I did 8-12 pumps a day x12 mins each, mimicking my child and it lasted for 6-8 of them on full charge) Charges quite fast too! And i used it with a portable charger on couple of occasions, how convenient was that! Lightweight and easy to carry in a bag with you. Easy to clean on the go with special pump wipes. Very comfortable and easy to use.Bottom line I am very, very pleased with it and cannot recommend enough! Worth every penny!

Phillips website states that this can be cleaned in the dishwasher but afterwards it does not fit the pump properly.

The pump isn’t pumping any milk during regular pumping sessions, such a bad product, can’t believe it I spent so much money for such a poor product, I can’t even return it as I bought it 2 months before giving birth, I’m fuming 😡
