Bright Orange Basic Genuine Leather Checkbook Cover For Men & Women

I'm giving this product one star refer to photograph on what we received. The piece of felt in hand was used to cover the holes.

Actually wound up buying 2. First one was a blue that got lost in the mail. Contacted the seller about the loss, he steered me to Amazon customer service and they refunded me. The 2nd one, black, was received. What I like about it is that the book of duplicate checks fits perfectly and then it closes flat. Also, the thing that keeps you from writing through to the next check because it is thick and covers the entire check from side to side and top to bottom. It does what I need it to do and does it well.

Who uses checkbooks anymore? Back in the day the bank gave away checkbook covers with their check books. But they don't do that anymore and the one I got for free 5 years ago is super cheap and is falling apart. So I decided to invest in one. The ones I could buy from Harland were crazy expensive so I found this basic checkbook cover and I'm quite pleased with how sturdy it is especially for the price which was a fraction of the cost.

Nice quality leather but doesn't fit a full book of checks correctly, see accompanying photos. Maybe it will loosen up with use?

The leather is quite nice, BUT If you use 'wallet' style checks, the plastic piece inside the leather cover that keeps handwriting from bleeding thru to the next check is too small/short, in two directions. The top cuts off the space that would protect the area where the date is written, and the sides are about 1/2" shorter than the check, which affects the area that can be used to write out the amount of the check in words (not numerals). That doesn't sound like much space, but it's enough to affect how I write on my checks.

I ordered two checkbook covers in different colors. For the price I find these to be great quality checkbook covers. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.......there is no flap at the top of the cover for your register page to slide under. I've solved the problem by using a jumbo paperclip on the inside of the cover, but would prefer a flap. Overall, if you're looking for a good quality checkbook cover, I would recommend buying one of these.

I was happy with the color, design and leather quality. The problem was that the stitching on the transparent shield that protects underlying checks from marks was missed by the fist inch of stitching and tore loose. It makes the Checkbook inconvenient to use

Maybe there is something about the color burgundy. I had previously ordered another leather checkbook cover but the odor was so strong and unpleasant that even after leaving it out in the sun off and on for a month, or letting it air out in the garage, I finally gave it away. I have a blue cover by this manufacturer that is fine, so I ordered this in burgundy. And while the odor is not as strong as the other book, this one is airing out alternating in the garage or out in the sun. I hope it will be useable in a few weeks... as everything else about it is fine!
