Brew Syphon Pump, Home Brew Equipment Filter Tube Pipe Hose Manual DIY Making Wine Pump Siphon Syphon Tube Hose Filter Beer Brewing Making Tool (78.74in)

I've returned to home brew after a gap of tens of years and had to re-equip. I used this syphon to move my fermented beer into a pressure barrel. Despite the tubing being curly after being packaged coiled up for shipping, it was straightforward to apply a little pressure with my finger to get the filter end to descend gracefully into the beer. Priming was instant. The flow was gentle but in no way frustrating. I felt it helped avoid disturbing the beer too much. No leaks. It does its job well.

The diaphragm in my toilet's cistern failed and needed replacing. As it was one of those annoying ones that was built into the wall it was near impossible to drain it properly to allow for the replacement of the flush mechanism as a couple of inches of water remained at the bottom of the cistern. A syphon was required and this did the job well. The only mod I had to make was zip-tying a pebble to the filter end to stop it floating. Did the job and saved me big cash monies as I didn't need to call a plumber.

wasn't sure what to expect but this was a pleasure to use. It is well made, functions well. Needed it to rack some homemade and homegrown wine. Perfect too for the job!I simply can't complain.

A great addition to my Homebrew equipment. I have used other sypons, but this is so easy and brilliant when bottling. The filter floats on top of your brew and woks a treat. Just give the bulb a couple of squeezes to get the brew flowing and raise the outlet when you want the flow to stop. There is no more squeezing required to get the beer flowing again, just lower the outlet again and off it goes. Absolutely brilliant.

I was apprehensive about this product, going by some of the reviews mentioned the pump plastic being paper-thin. I was pleasantly surprised. Last night I syphoned off 30 pints of cider with no issue. The filter is a bonus, there were no leaks from any joints, and the pump worked well, and is sturdy enough.

Dose job . Not best quality

Used this a few times now.Had problems with trub getting into my bottles and this sorted the issue.The only problem is that it doesn't come apart for easy cleaning. I haven't had any issues with infections yet so submerging in 'Bruclean' steriliser/ cleaner seems to do the trick.The other issue is a practical one of the coiled tube wanting to bring the filter to the surface. So between keeping your eyes on that and also he other end to stop too many bubbles (to avoid oxidisation) it's a bit fiddly...but crystal clear beer is your reward.

Like I said, its perfectly easy to use, and great value for money. It's very annoying to clean, like all tubey things are. I don't know if this is perfect but i fill a pot with hot soapy water and run it through the whole system, then run non soapy water through until it no longer makes bubbles.
