Good value Drone
I am a total beginner and took quite some time researching all different kinds of Drones from very cheap to expensive, eventually I settled on buying the 4DRC F3 GPS 4K Drone after reading the comprehensive description of this product. I purchased through amazon prime and it arrived within 2 Days. The packaging was very good and the Drone comes with its very own zipped carry case with everything packed tightly within . You get two batteries and a set of extra blades tooThe instruction booklet could be a little more clear as I found the print to be a bit too small for me so I printed them a bit larger .Downloading the app to my android phone was straight forward. A bit of time was spent calibrating the Drone and once done I was ready to experience my first flight . Be very careful until you get used to the controls as the drone can easily fly away from you fast and you also need to be in a very large area away from people and obstacles to compensate for drifting and any sudden wrong movements you may make.I have not had a chance due to bad weather to be able to experience this Drones capabilities and I am dying to spend a day using it. Unfortunately I can’t give a full review on flight performance as yet but can certainly see its capabilities .the highest I got was about 2 metres off the ground when calibrating . It felt very powerful so I am being cautious and taking baby steps during the learning process. So far I am impressed with the Drone and for the price it’s a brilliant bit of kit for beginners . Once the weather improves I will spend more time with it an make a more detailed review on here .I would certainly recommend this drone to anyone starting out. just take your time and make sure you read the instructions well and take small steps to get used to it and I am sure it will be a very enjoyable experience .

Okay while it lasted, wouldn’t recommend though.
It was okay whilst it lasted, I managed 3 flights with it until on the 4th the drone started up fine but as I “unlocked to take off” it went flying at us at a rate of knots and flew into a bush, rebounded off and the housing snapped on impact with the ground.Could have been a lot worse, luckily we were far enough away from it to react in time to get out of the way. When it did work it was alright as a toy and to play about on. The Picture quality is okay, I wouldn’t say 4K though. I bought it to follow our progress with our extension not sure the Picture quality would have been what I wanted for that.It was fairly easy to control, was able to get up to 120m high with little problems. Didn’t really get to test the range on it, I was planning to do that on the flight where it went rouge.Overall I probably wouldn’t recommend it, due to having zero confidence in it.

Easy set up, mixed feelings on App. Successful first flight
Review after first flight and can only compare this against my previous drone: a HubsanThe Drone and my phone connected with no problems to aid flying by App.The set up to fly is easy. The App guides you through set up and calibration with easeMy previous drone controller had a built in LCD display, whislt the phone can balance on the controller its not as good as a built in LCD display. It needs a firmer placeholder. As you need to keep your eyes on the drone at all times, it's a handful for the controller and phone at the same time. But not impossible. My previous drone was twice the price (you get what you pay for!)Loved that it came with a spare battery and spare propellors. All novice drone operators will crash or collide at some point. A spare battery means a quick battery change to keep on flying. Estimate at least 20 mins of flying. The App did crash during the flight and is a bit clunky to restart (eyes should be on the drone, not the phone!)It folds up to a small size and comes with a carry case. Very convenient (my last drone did not do this / have a carry case)Picture quality seems good. Although did seem to have the front rotors in most shots. This may be my fault, as the arms fold out from the body.No issues with the flight or response from the controls. As with all things with drones: practice, concentration, the right flying conditions and a location with plenty of space are key.Looking forward to the next flight and understanding more about what I can do with the App, as it has more features and may negate some of the above!
