We have been ordering and using these masks not because they are on the EUA approved list, but because they are constructed of the recommended 5-layer un-woven filter material that will provide the necessary filtration rate. These masks are well-constructed and possess a good secure, but not uncomfortable fit, around the perimeter of the face. The masks are disposable but can be used several times if only worn for short periods of time. What you will find with masks that are on the EUA list is that you will be gouged to the greatest extent possible by companies trying to determine just how much you're willing to spend for face-mask protection. There are counterfeits everywhere you turn, claiming to be on the list but are not and describing manufacturing processes that are entirely misleading and turn out to be nothing but junk. There are also companies appearing in the Q&A who are pretending to be customers claiming that they found EUA approved masks that are fantastic or great with excellent prices and to try them, accompanied by website addresses. These sites are nothing more than misleading you to buy their product over another and their masks do not represent any higher quality or approval whatsoever. It's critical to note here that all face-masks, N95, KN95 or equivalents are designed to reduce exposure to the aerosolized droplet formation when people sneeze, cough or speak by people in close proximity and designed to reduce the projection of aerosolized droplets by those wearing the masks as well. The viral particles are 70-90 nanometers, or .07 to .09 micrometers. The N95 and comparable masks are capable of deflecting approx. 95% of the viral particles from reaching the mucous membranes where infection can take place. You are reducing risk of infection, not preventing it.Do not let these companies compel you to try and spend large sums of money on their products trying to make you believe that the more you spend, the more protection you obtain. Most of these companies are aggressively misleading you because they are making millions selling masks that formerly were being sold for just a few cents per mask before the pandemic, now gouging you for several dollars per mask.Carefully examine the CDC recommendations for the best mask construction and find a mask that matches those parameters. Practice social distancing as much as possible, frequent hand-washing and do not touch your facial areas. Remember, this is a respiratory virus and enters through the respiratory tract. If you wear reading glasses, lower them on your nose and keep them on. Do not take them on and off due to the fact that you may inadvertently touch other surfaces containing live virus and transfer it to your glasses and subsequently your face.Just get a mask that has good construction as recommended and develop safety habits regarding proximity, touching surfaces, use of glasses, makeup, eyedrops, lip balm, etc. and just keep your hands washed frequently and away from your face until you're home and can perform whatever care is necessary. Above all, do not let any of these mask companies drive you into spending hundreds of dollars for a mask that provides reduction, not prevention. Use good prevention practices, do not deviate from them, and you'll avoid infection.Lastly, Amazon is a buyer beware market and educated consumer protection is all you have at your disposal when shopping. While they have a good return policy, the best approach is to be fully informed before you make a purchase. Use due diligence regarding these masks and take a common sense approach to your purchase selection. The bottom line is that this mask is no greater or less functional in providing reduction in exposure when used in addition to other vitally necessary precautions as mentioned above. Together, all of these personal protection devices and practices will provide the lowest infection threshold.

Comfortable, durable, and has the safety documentation to give you peace of mind
Like a lot of folks out there, I want to protect myself and others as best as I possibly can. The best way to do that right now? Wear a mask. So, naturally, I researched and looked around at all of the different masks available online. I've used dust masks (stopped using due to them having valves), surgical masks (good, but not as good at filtering), and cloth masks (also good, but still not the best at filtering). Then I found the KN95 masks, which are supposed to be just a good as the (nearly impossible to find) N95's here in America.I'm an essential worker, so I have to wear a mask all day when I'm in the office (reduced schedule, thankfully) or going out to get food and household essentials. Because of the length of wear, I need a comfortable and safe mask. I tried a different brand (the top selling one right now, actually) at first, and the masks were just not as good as I had hoped for. They just didn't seal quite right around my nose. These, however, are a different story. They fit my face perfectly, feel snug and secure (though I do have to adjust throughout the day, but that's just how it goes with a mask), and don't have any unpleasant odors. These are going to be my go-to for the foreseeable future, and I highly recommend them.

Slightly larger than other KN95 masks. Superior filtration.
If you have a large face and have trouble with the small'ish KN95 masks, you might want to try this mask, which is more generously proportioned. I have worked now with 5 different makes of KN95. They all have minor differences in fit, but this Dr. Family mask is an "outlier" in its size. Otherwise it seems to be a decent enough mask, with the same flaws as any other KN95 mask - filters well, but seals poorly. This mask also stands out in that all of the 30 samples of this mask tested by the National Personal Protection Technology Laboratory filtered in excess of 99.5%, which is exceptionally good. However, the buyer must understand that all KN95 masks, including this one, are rather flimsy and have a very thin nose wire, so they typically leak around the edges. To meet KN95 fit standards, they must leak no more than 8% of the air. There are no fit requirements for the American N95 mask; however, that is with the understanding that they must be fit tested in a clinical setting, and that NO LEAKS are tolerated. The price is "reasonable' in this inflated pandemic market, but it is still selling for well over 5-10X what it would during normal times. Here is a link to the test results for this mask:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0881Z618L/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This brand of mask also does not appear on the CDC's list of brands that are known to be counterfeited.

Comfortable and SAFE!
These masks have great coverage and fit well (not 'child-sized' like some other KN95 masks we've tried, that are too tight, too small, and cut into your face). They help protect the wearer AND others from infection, and each mask lasts a long time, even with extended, repeated use in the workplace all day or during intensive and prolonged physical exercise. If you're not a medical professional with a priority need for the regular N95 masks, I think this KN95 is about the most wearable, breathable, best protection you can get for the adults in your family. For our family (3 adult siblings in their 50s) these are a great value, as well as offering the comfort of better protection in our quarantined work and leisure during the long wait for the vaccine.
