Very simple to set up. It sends an email every time i unplug it to simulate a power outage, and sends another one when the power comes on again. I just discovered a bonus function - if the wifi goes offline, the device sends an email, then sends another when wifi is restored, saying "We inform you that on 19-03-2025 03:46:28 Central European Time, Internet service has been restored. The service was interrupted for a total of 1 minutes. Please note that NO power supply outage occurred."

I did have this product but it stopped working. Contacted company and sent it back. They sent me a new one. Very good service. I use it to monitor power outage to protect freezers, etc + Internet working.I like: Easy to set up and use. Clear instructions. Clear warning emails quickly delivered - I subscribe to phone messages as well - well worth it.Good company service from my experience.

I went on holiday a few years ago and came back to a defrosted fridge & freezer!!! A trip had gone on my fuse board I found this unit on Amazon. If you loose power it sends a email to you free or if you want a text it will cost you £15 a year. Well worth the piece of mind knowing you can monitor it and take action if you need. I've tested it and it works really well.

We suffer regular power trips at home often while away, leaving us to find soggy freezer contents on return. It took me 20 mins to get it up and running with very easy to follow instructions, and it fits easily into the USB socket on the rear of our Wi-Fi router. After setting up I pulled it out of the socket to simulate a power outage and within a few minutes received email telling me power had been lost. On plugging back in I then received immediate 2nd email telling me power was restored. Simple and effective!

Don't waste your money on this. They give you a limit of mail notifications. But every time their Spanish set er loses power or loss of internet you get a mail which counts on your daily quota - they have so many outages I continuously get emails & then I e to say my email has been suspended. So chances are you will miss your own genuine power outage. I wrote to them to complain but had a stupid form returned that was irrelevant to the issue! Don't bother with it!

This great little value for money device fits easily through the letter box. I bought it to alert me when power is lost to my fridge/freezer whilst I'm away from home. Following the online instructions, it took just 10 minutes to set the device up. Instructions are easy to understand and are supported by screen shots. My device is plugged into a power socket as I don't have a USB socket on my router. Having registered the device, I switched the socket off, and within seconds, I received an email stating power had been lost. Switching the socket on, I received an email to say power had been reestablished. There is no charge for receipt of emails.

Plugged into a usb port near the router.Sends me an email when router stops working indicating power is cut and another email when it comes back on. Useful in our lodge where we have lost freezer contents in the past. Now I can ring the park and ask them to check the trip box under the lodge.

The instructions are very good in English, the step to link the IP is a little confusing but otherwise very clear. The response from the ControlloCasa team was outstanding, many other suppliers should follow suit!.
