Love this vase
I got the small. It is easy to handle and a small to medium bouquet fits nicely. My trial run was with flowers from a grocery store. Lasted over two weeks! Great design.

Sturdy, attractive, cool design
I purchased both the larger blue version and the smaller white version. After a moment of puzzlement about how to open it (because it looks like a solid piece), I figured out where to twist it and voila! The vase came apart as promised. It's a really great design and the vases are SOLID. I grow massive peonies in my garden - the flowers are the size of softballs, if not larger - and they are usually too heavy for my regular vases. The Amaranth vases hold my giant peonies and every other type of flower very well, with no concern about tipping. The twist-apart feature is perfect for trimming the stems without making a mess, which allows the flowers to thrive for a much longer time in the vase. Highly recommend this vase for those who enjoy having fresh flowers around. It also makes a great gift for a friend or family member with a green thumb.

My Family Is Obsessed! So Easy To Use!
My mom especially loves fresh flowers but keeping them alive was always a bit of a pain between having to take the flowers out, drain the old water and replace it then put the (now shedding from nasty water) flowers back into the vase. Alright, is this a third world problem this vase is solving? Clearly not. BUT it DOES make it a million times easier (and kinda satisfying to so easily watch that nasty water go down the drain) so now our flowers have an actual shot at life now because it's easier than ever to change the water. After my mom opened this as a Christmas present, she immediately had me get her more. (Pst! My whole family is getting one too for Mother's Day because we're in love) so don't overthink it. Get the vase and give your flowers a true shot at living past day 3.

High quality vase, Large size slightly cumbersome which diminishes functionality
Life has been fairly crummy for the past few years so I started buying a bouquet on my weekly Costco trips just to cheer me up a bit. This vase seemed perfect because it is a pain to change the water on cut flowers daily, you have to take the bouquet out...yadda yadda, so this seems like a great solution.Out of the box when empty, it was fairly easy to twist it open and shut. High quality, solid construction. I love that you can prearrange it how you want the flowers to look and then trim from the bottom-up - genius. The problem came when I did my first water change:1) When it is full of water, at least for me, it was not very easy to open it. I have pretty big hands but my thumb joints are on their way out, so maybe it's just me but I have to prop the vase on the side of the sink while I work to get it open. Again, once empty and the weight of the water is gone I can close it easily.2) Well at least I don't have to take the flowers out to fill it back up, right? That's what I thought, so I just filled it with water til my heart's content and then placed it on the table. 1 hour later there is a ring of water pooled up on my tablecloth. Why?? I filled it to almost the top and the water was beading up out of the seam. Again, this is user error. The thing is, if its slightly difficult to drain AND you have to take the flowers out to see the fill-line when adding water back in, does it really get you that much more functionality than a traditional vase? I'm not sure. At first I thought of returning it, but it is a good looking, solid well-built vase. My kids are little and always bumping the table -- they haven't knocked over yet! I do like the trimming aspect, and perhaps over time my hands will get stronger and I will get a better gauge of how much water to put in without having to pull the flowers out. I appreciate ingenuity and commitment to quality so I will keep it. I cannot conceive of a way to improve it...making the circumference smaller would help with the grip to drain, but then you would lose stem capacity and wide-base benefits. If you added a little nub on the outside for grip, it would ruin the seamless aesthetic. Who knows, this thing might improve my grip strength and then I'll come back and switch to 5 stars :-) It is a good product, but for a few reasons unique to me it might not be a perfect solution. Just wanted to put this out there for others who might be in the same boat.

Great find!
Vase looks great, feels sturdy and works great too. The hole in the bottom has not leaked while in use and I figured it probably would. Have received many compliments on how nice it looks.
