Best Immediate Remedy for Pinworm
I had no idea that Pinworm even existed...until suddenly I did! We're on vacation at my parents' house. My daughter casually tells me before bed that she has an itchy butt and that she thinks she has worms...because she saw them. I tell her, “Oh no, honey. It's probably just lint or something like that but just in case, the next time you see one, show me.” Five minutes later she shows me...it's not lint...it's definitely worm-like...small and white...two of them...and I have no idea what to do. I don't want her to worry but I tell her that it wasn't lint, that everything is fine, and that I have to look on the computer. Go to sleep and I'll tell you in the morning.Girls are asleep. My parents are watching TV (my dad is a serious germaphobe). I'm focused on my computer research googling “intestinal worms”. A few different options pop up...with photos. It's easy to see that she has pinworm. After reading about how to diagnose it, I'm thankful that it was so easy since she “gave” me two whole worms. Then I read more and realize that she probably has A LOT of these if she was “itching out” worms more than once. I'm impressed at this point that I'm not totally freaking out. I'm also realizing that probably our entire immediate family has pinworm because those suckers are SO contagious. I'm still wondering how I didn't know about these already!I'm a fan of “let's do this the natural way” but after lots of reading and learning about their lifecycle (only learn this if you have to), I knew that I needed medicine and we all needed it and we needed it right away! Thankfully so many people posted so many helpful reviews on Amazon...to all of you, thank you...I mean, really, really thank you...I needed guidance and real-people advice...you delivered. We were flying home the next day. I ordered this medicine to arrive at our house the next day just in time for a pre-bedtime dose. All four of us took a dose whether we felt symptoms or not. The girls and I were already staying home the next day which worked out well in case of bowel needs. My oldest daughter (the one who discovered worms and was, I'm guessing, our original case) had mild stomach cramping for a few days. We gave her lots of water and healthy food to help. The rest of us didn't notice anything unusual. We all felt better. For me, I had a unique experience. I'm guessing that every body reacts differently to the worm...that's my only explanation. I had two small bumps appear about a month or two earlier...one on my leg above my knee (2 months earlier), the other on my lower gum inside my mouth just below my tooth line (1 month earlier). This is gross in afterthought...I had picked at the one on my leg so I just thought it was a skin tag...but it always came back. The one in my mouth had me concerned because it was a small, hard lump. I was about to have it checked out thinking it was cancer. Two days after taking the pinworm medicine...BOTH were gone...I mean completely gone. I had such a flood of relief thinking “Thank God it's not cancer!” and right after thinking “What the heck! How bad were the worms in me?!” I still gross myself out thinking about it.The girls and I never took a second dose. Their dad did.One reviewer said that they take the medicine once a year to de-worm their family. I think we might do that now that I know how crazy common and contagious this worm is. Seriously, how are my parent friends not talking about this!?Side note: I did discreetly tell my mom what was going on early on the day that we flew home (i.e. while my dad was out running an errand). I helped her gather and super-clean all of the bedding. I super-cleaned the bathroom and surfaces. We both decided it was best not to tell my dad. They never had any symptoms. To anyone reading this far...good luck...you're not alone...buy this medicine! Also read up on extra hygiene tips (especially for kids) to help prevent future spread.xo

Works but is just so disgusting.
I’m not sure how to rate those categories. Any who kindergartens are gross little beings. They share all sorts of germs. It’s rather horrifying really. So my poor daughter caught pinworms from school. Let’s just say don’t look them up, or think about it it’s nightmarish. Well turns out it’s so common and contagious basically everyone in your house catches them. Which in turn freaks me out even more at the very idea. So our ped told me to pick this up.Here’s the deal it’s thick as molasses, it’s a puke yellow color and a barfy banana flavor that makes it hell to get down. But it works. I know keep it on hand because kids are just disgusting beings and after talking for friends from overseas it’s actually common to deworm, yes you read that right, your kiddos as it is just so damn common. So we will be sporadically retreating simply because those damn things lay eggs rehatch, lay eggs and rehatch. They lay eggs on furniture, clothing bedding you name it. Mentally I can not with the horror that is this childhood issues. So I will just be proactive from here on out and continue to clean all bedding, furniture and stuffed animals like the mad woman that I am.

Worked in 1 dose!
What kind of family gets pinworms during a quarantine? This family. We believe we got it from the dog (wash that dog after walks outside and before you kiss it!). We bought this together with the pinworm treatment for dogs and in one dose for all of us, and in that same day, no more itchy butts. Definitely worth the spend if you've got pinworms. Trust me, if you get itchy butts at night and then look in your poop to see thread-like things floating off of the logs, you've got pinworms. Yes, super gross.

I do believe it has worked.
I'm not sure if it works yet but I do believe that it does. That or I caught my daughter's infestation early. I saw a minimum of one living Pinworm in my 6 year old daughters stool and knew exactly what it was. I had had this problem as a child (her age) myself more than once due to being outside, constantly around other kids, and being a dirty tomboy in general. We didn't tell my daughter until the day we got (and took) the medicine but we did up the amount of times we reminded her to wash her hands, brush her teeth, keep her fingers and hair out of her mouth, etc. She enjoyed having her butt wiped like a baby again anyways. For a family of 4 one box was enough though I ordered 2 for another round later just in case (Pinworm life cycle and all). It tastes nasty - like banana flavoring - and the consistency is thick. It's also sulfur yellow and foamy if you shake it enough (which you're supposed to). Though we did have lumps and goopy parts plop out into our dosing cups so we had to mix it better once it was poured anyways.I haven't seen pinworms in hers or anyone elses stool since then; which I thought was weird since you're supposed to see the infestation come out in the stool after a day or so. But I haven't seen really anything in anyone's. So to reiterate I believe it has worked and I must've caught it right when it had began in her and no one else must've had it. She never complained of itching or tickling down there either which reinforces that. I'm hoping this is all over with but we may all take another dose (since I bought the two pack) as a family in 2 weeks or 4 weeks. I'll have to read more on the medication to make sure we can.

Somewhat Useful. Stops most worm activity.
Dosent remove all parasites. Even after multiple doses, most worms are reduced in activity. Unfortunately A small amount do manage to stay active. I would recommend with laxative or other natural cleanses along with a (Temporary) healthy dietary change and some exercise probably wouldn’t hurt.
