Clamps around the drill bit, no set screw to dig into the drill bit! Used to drill holes to a measured depth for drawer slides, saves time!

Used for pre drilling lag bolts. Setting the depth was easy and the collar stayed in place.

They’re pretty simple, just a piece of metal with a few holes, but they do the job pretty well. These drill stops went on my bits easily and didn’t damage them at all, though with coated bits you will need to really tighten the stops on to prevent slipping.I found that if I didn’t double check the stop depth regularly and hadn’t really tightened them enough, they would scoot up the bit without me noticing. It can be difficult to tell how tight is too tight, as I don’t want to damage my bits, but so far no issues with that.Overall I’m quite happy with them, a good value for the price.

The design of these collars is unique to me. I have used collars with set screws for 30 year’s building cabinets and built ins but have never used one that set as firmly as these. Beyond satisfied with these so far

In theory these should have worked but I found them hard to secure properly.

I drilled holes in a plastic box using these, and they prevented the drill bit from going to far, which would have damaged a printed circuit board.

Other stops I have used have failed to stay in place; these work!

Does not work. No matter how hard you tighten the screw, it will slip and you will end up with a deeper hole.
