That would be from Mesquite Wood Smoke concentrate.This product is a flour made from the Mesquite BEANS/PODS and is used for a Coffee like drink or in BAKING or SMOOTHIES and as a low-glycemic sweetener. It has a delightful chocolatey-nutty-caramely aroma and flavor.

I love using this for my natural super food version of hot cocoa for the chilly season. I use this with raw caoco powder, raw honey, raw carob powder, vanilla powder a pinch of salt with coconut milk powder to make a sensational satisfying different kind of hot cocoa. Mmmm

Didn't taste like smoky mesquite at all

May just be the nature of the powder, but there are chunks of dry powder that I have to break up before use. Otherwise I'm happy with the product.Looked for this at sprouts, whole foods and central market with no luck. Nice size pack. Fresh. Scoop not included though m.Has a distinct taste. Not too overpowering but noticeable in my smoothies

adding to coffee is interesting. it IS a powder and doesn't mix well. I haven't used it enough really to decide one way or another, will update when i do.

All shoppers should know that this is not Mesquite barbecue spice powder. It is a mesquite pod that is ground up and used as a coffee alternative. Mesquite barbecue spice is used from a different part of the tree. It’s used from the bark.

I been eating mesquite powder since I was a kid. Homemade by my mom. It’s very hard to find it my sister buys ir for me from a friend ones a year. I was so exited to find this product but it doesn’t taste anything like it. Very disappointed.

Purchased this product numerous times. Bad batch with awful chemical flavor. Should have recalled this batch because poor quality control and potentially dangerous.
