These things will NOT fall apart on you! I carried one in the navy for several months before I got out, then carried it in the back pocket of my jeans for four semesters of college, washed it once, and got my jeans soaked in the rain a couple times. The only problem is that the pages are now a little crooked from where I was sitting on it while it was still wet. This notebook still hasn't lost a single page! They cost a little more but are worth it for anyone who has ever cursed the cheap binding on a falling apart notebook. I wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone.

My old job provided these and, after I left, I searched them out and bought them myself. Sounds weird, but you will never want to use any other kind. The notebooks flip UP, instead of to the side (GREAT for lefthanders, also easier to hold and support so you can write without a surface) and they have a kind of water-resistant cover that helps repel water. Flexible, easy to carry, fits in a shirt pocket. Does not fall apart. I highly recommend.

The cover isn't hard like they used to be , but still better than any memo book out there !! Funny , you got called a "lifer" if you carried one of these !! now I'm buying them on Amazon !!!!!!!!!

I finally found pocket notebooks that will hold together in my pocket, without costing an arm and a leg! These are very well made, the pages are held in place securely, and the covers seem to be either some sort of plastic or plastic impregnated cardboard. In the past I used books with plain cardboard covers, and they would wear and even fall apart. So far, these have showed no signs of doing that. The price was under $1.50 a book, making them less than half price of 'Field Notes', and I believe these have more pages in each book. The paper is of good quality, but don't confuse them with the kind you can write on when wet. These compare favorably with the Mead 5-star pocket notebooks, in terms of quality and durability, but I prefer these because they don't have the spiral wire binding that makes a bulge in your pocket, and can snag. If you want a book that fits in your pocket, and doesn't fall apart, I heartily recommend these.

I was so excited to see these available for purchase. These books are very durable and provide a handy way to keep passwords, user accounts and other sensitive data close. To save the pages, I insert sticky notes between the pages and sometimes I use it as a billfold. Innovation matters!

Love these things. They are great to carry along in a pocket or leave by your phone, on the desk/counter, in the car, etc.Durable, inexpensive, nice looking, nice feel, plenty of pages. Plus they remind me of being in the Navy, so bonus points there.Maybe not as trendy as a Field Note pads which are $10 for a 3 pack with only 48 pages each, but a much better value at $20 for a 12 pack with 144 pages each!Some quick mathField Notes pads come to $0.07 per pageThese come to $0.01per page, 1¢ !!! That is 7 times less expensive!

The books were the wrong size

ordered a box, and it came with 3 different sizes, I like the small flip pad most because it works best with my note pad that I can fit it in too, but very durable and no spiral. Very Very useful for in the field for it durability alone.
