SE 7-1/2" Ice Tempered Stainless Steel Barber Scissors - SP105

While I am not a connoisseur of scissors, I think this pair is quite good. They arrived quickly, look great and are very sharp. They are certainly excellent for the price, no doubt about it. Of course, I cannot say how long they will last, but I think I might lose them long before they wear out (I seem to lose scissors somehow from time to time).

I bought these as an add-on with a larger purchase, because the price was just too good to pass up. I'm astounded with the quality I received for so little money - the scissors are clearly new, sharp, shiny, and great quality. A great addition to any hair- or wig-styling kit.

I had two questions when I ordered these:One, does a screw hold the blades together so they can be separated for cleaning and sharpening? Yes, it is removable. And the bearing area around the screw is not highly polished so it can take oil.Two, is the thumb hole generous enough for a fat thumb? Yes and no, I'd say. It fits me, but it isn't real roomy. It's an ellipse about 2cm by 2.3cm. If you wear XL gloves, this is probably not the tool for you.One more feature I didn't see in the description or the picture is the gold coating around the finger loops and about 2cm up the stems. They look nice.

Let's not pretend these are barber quality scissors. Instead you get a serviceable personal use sheers. They are okay for trimming bangs, side birds, or other body hair. I found the movement to be a bit stiff; there's a bit of resistance when opening and closing the pair of blades. That said, it does work. I have had mine for about a 2 months and no rust has appeared which is good considering how much moisture gets trapped in my bathroom.

These are pretty good haircutting scissors considering I spend $3 on them. They do cut well. Only drawback is I didn't look more carefully at the measurements, these scissors are for people with small hands, and mine are a little too big. After cutting for 5 minutes my hand started to hurt. Also, because they are so small, you can only cut a tiny little bit of hair at a time. If you have small hands these are great scissors for the price.

In several years of cutting our own family's hair, we have never tried a pair of scissors as bad as these. I made the mistake of ignoring other highly negative reviews. One reviewer even suggested that they resulted in split ends. Unfortunately, I was skeptical, thinking that this surely could not be. I figured that even if they were not very good, they would still be worth buying as a backup. Wrong! They simply are not usable for cutting hair! Even cheap stationery scissors work FAR better! It turns out that all of the other reviewers were right--the product is terrible and should not even be on the market, except perhaps as utility scissors to keep in a junk drawer. They don't really cut the hair; rather, they pull and chew at it. I finally finished a haircut in twice the time it usually takes, and the constant pulling was extremely uncomfortable for the victim. This is the worst product I have ever bought from Amazon.

My son was born with a lot of hair and I gave him his first hair cut at 3 months old. At first I used the house hold scissors (the ones in the office desks) to cut his hair, but wasn't happy with the out come. The Ice tempered scissors works so much better. I love the sharp tip and they fit my hands much better giving me more control.

Great scissors, larger than expected. The pic featured doesn't look like the proportions of a 7.5in pair of scissors. My fault for not reading the description. Unlike another commentor, these scissors (the pair I ordered) does not have gold on the handle. The pair I ordered is 7.5 inches and looks exactly like the picture. I am still nervous using these to trim my nose hair, but its ok for sideburns.
