DEWALTDSV521 Class 2 Heavy Duty Surveyor Vest, Medium

So originally I thought “good lord this thing is HUGE, now I see what everyone is complaining about. Than I realized they sent me a 2XL not a medium. I knew it’d a little big because it’s Radians sizing as they make the vest, ordered the replacement medium size and it’s actually a great fit. They do run a little large because they are meant to have room to wear things under. But ordering a medium it for perfect, little room for a winter coat which will be great during winter.Working for Amazon, we get ok vests but I needed something better and more durable with a tab for my mic for the radio, pockets for different things and places to put my tools and writing utensils etc. this vest is PERFECT. It has everything and more, I can even dual purpose it and use it for traffic and rescue when I do that. It’s a great, versatile and very well made vest. I wish they gave us these at work, but considering the costs, i understand why they don’t. Least they let me bring my own.

For the price and all the front pen pockets, clear holders & phone pocket, back pockets, very nice !I ordered the medium size, am 5'9 about 180 lbs, this one was still pretty big on me.

Plenty of pockets. It does fit oversized as others have mentioned. I don't mind though as I'll wear it over a windbreaker in the winter. I've been told that I look like I have been ran over by a Tonka toy or that I look like an English/Australian traffic cop.

Pros:The fabric feels good and quality.It's very bright and noticeable.The inner pockets offer some rain protection for your phone.The inner pockets have Velcro you can close over your phone to keep it from falling out when you bend over.Cons:They should abandon the plastic pocket because I'm not confident that's going to hold up to modern washers.The other out pocket is too shallow. I couldn't fit my phone in it and putting pens/pencils/highlighters in it was floppy and awkward.On women it will be tight (if not impossible) on the hips and baggy in the upper body.I'm keeping it for the quality of the fabric and how seriously bright and noticeable it is. Hopefully by the time I need another one they will have created a version that stretches or flares at the hips for women (I really can't believe a company as well known as Stanley didn't consider fitment for women??)

Well made and lots of pockets that work well for a utility surveyor like myself. However, the medium is HUUUUGE! I'm a fit build medium size across the board. This thing is massive in a medium. My 6 foot 2 step-father who is 250 pounds can get in this medium no sweat. Get real with the sizing!

I am not a tradesman who needs a vest to stay of his way while working with tools. I am an engineer who visits job sites with a clipboard, camera, and iPad full of drawing files. This jacket will allow me to have all those tools with me and still have two hands free for climbing ladders. It fits my purpose exactly.And speaking of fit--I am 5 foot 7 inches and 170 lb. I bought the medium size and the bottom hem of this jacket is at about the same place as my suit jackets. If you want a vest that comes no lower than your belt you may want to look elsewhere. The Dewalt jacket fits over a medium-weight coat, probably as heavy as I would ever wear since the temperature rarely gets below 35 F here.To be very clear about the pockets; there are chest pockets and two big pockets on the front that show well in the photo. There are two pockets inside, either of which will fit my iPad. There is a big pocket across the lower back with a vertical zipper on each side. If I am ever carrying rolled paper plans I will unzip both sides and push the roll through. If I am doing an energy audit and need test instruments I might use that pocket with the zippers closed. When I am not wearing the jacket I keep my safety glasses and gloves zipped up in there so they all stay together.

My cousin asked me to buy him something online & this is what he wanted. He's impressed by it.Looked pretty versatile & functional from what I could see.. Great quality to it too. Sizes do seem to run a little big though n
