Know before you buy!
Easy, functional, and comfortable for even the difficult spaces. I've been using this utility knife for over 3 weeks now and it's been the best. Cutting with this feels a lot better then most flat utility knives. Pre-loaded blade that lasts a good while, 3 days ago switched sides. Thank you DeWalt!

Best utility knife I’ve ever owned
The retractable style utility knife feels much better in the hand than the folding kind. And Dewalt tools never disappoint. Glad I bought it. Been using it with no problems at all.

Best knife out there
best knife out there. I had my last one about eight years and used it every day. The button finally gave out but I'm not complaining !

Most ergonomic, comfortable cutter you will ever own .....
Best box cutter I've ever owned, and I've owned a bunch ..... fits perfect in your hand, like holding a Luger .... just feels very ergonomic..... very well constructed ..... no sharp angled edges so it slides in/out of the back pocket easily .....The blade 'quick change' mechanism gave me problems at first, like some other reviewers have mentioned ..... I took it apart and removed/reinstalled the black plastic 'push button' at the nose of the cutter ..... afterwards it worked perfect ..... easy to press and works every time ..... can't explain why it didn't work at first (the blade never 'clicked' in place and would fall out) ..... there was no packaging stuck in there .... oh well ....I do own the Stanley 'Fat Max' version of this .... and while very similar, I prefer the Dewalt design .... again, because it feels perfect in the hand ..... //CarlI am throwing away all my cheap cutters .... I.e. 3-in-a-package type stuff .... and buying a couple more of these to place around the garage, house, and shed .....

Quality Tool/ Great Features
DeWalt makes the best tools, and this is no exception. The only reason I didn’t give five stars to “Ease of Use” is because you really have to read the instructions before storing and changing blades for the first time. It’s not intuitive and obvious. That said, on board storage is a fantastic feature. And blade changing really is fast and simple, once you know how.DeWalt makes all sorts of blades (ceramics, etc) so you can store several types on board for different uses. This utility knife is retractable, but NOT a folding model. Important to know because it’s full size and doesn’t quietly sit in every pocket. And there’s a real risk if you carelessly fail to fully retract the blade and then try and pocket it! Be conscious of that. But don’t let that be a deal breaker because this is a great tool that will last for years. Worth every dollar.

Best utility knife on the market, but challenging to put it back together
My first time taking this knife apart and getting all of it back together took me a good 45 minutes. Only afterwards did I figure out that I didn't have to. It is designed so well, the only reason you would have to take it apart is if you spilled glue or something sticky and it got into the quick release mechanism. The blade change out is so easy on this knife, and it is so smooth. Unlike it's copies made by kobalt and others. The price is higher than most other utility knives, but the extra $3-$6 is nothing when you realize this thing will not break, will not wear out, and feels so perfect in the hand. I stopped carrying a traditional folding knife at work because of this thing.
