This book is pure gold, a must have if you like jazz piano. It's way better than what I expected. It has insightful analysis of every lick and also background on the pianists, styles, etc.It's a book to enjoy for several years.

Very good. Tells you about the artist and gives you licks by them to practice to make part of your musical vocabulary. It’s a great book I would buy again.

Samples of 10 Jazz Masters clearly written out. Not too hard to play and study but good examples of their style. Explanations of each example clearly written and easy to understand.

I thought I was fairly hip on guitar and piano. I have been playing for years and, arrogantly, figured I knew everything that was in this book - prior to buying it. But the way Fundamental Changes arranges its books and lessons is unique. and fresh. Yes, there are typos all over the place, in all the books I have, which is about twenty by now. Regardless, the lessons are extremely beneficial. Within an hour I had learned more from this book than a month of my other lessons.If you need new way to approach your music, I recommend these books. They really helped me out.

It’s an OK book, basically the author printed out some licks and explains what the artist did... I though this was going to be a good to enhance your creation style, but it’s just another theory book, none the less the author does has a simple way of explaining what this giants performed.

Good book with plenty of musical examples and commentary.

I was 14 when I learned piano. So after 50 years, the licks are challenging and fun.
