Wyze is where its at!
I am absolutely in love with Wyze products. You would be hard pressed to find such quality at equal value. All of the products work pretty well together in the dedicated Wyze app and the app is very user friendly. The install and setup is a complete breeze, even for the less tech savvy folks. Wyze is not without its flaws, however. It claims to be Alexa compatible but I seem to run into issues with Alexa, specifically with the smart plugs and smart lights. They seem to "jump off line" more frequently when trying to use Alexa. This is not a deal breaker for me because I just find it easier to control it all from app, rather than by voice control. I recommend Wyze products

Great safety starter kit.
Great starter kit. Comes with everything you need to try out their product minus the pan and tilt camera. The camera is 1080p quality with a magnetic base. The base is extendable and will rotate left and right plus ability to tilt the camera head. Video quality for something within a room is great at 1080p, but If you’re looking for something further than 12-15 feet quality can get pixelated. Keep in mind though it’s not due to the camera quality but the resolution and that goes for any camera not just this brand. Further distance view isn’t horrible just dont depend on it to have the ability to zoom into an object or person 20-30 feet away expecting to see the persons face clearly or read the logo on a T-shirt pocket. I have this camera placed inside the front window.Door/window sensor that will let you know when or if it’s open or closed.Motion sensor that is about the size of 2x2 sugar cube or a quarter that fits inside a small box. The distance of measure on this is at least 30 feet! I live in a corner house and the door points out at the intersection. The sensor detects every car that drives through the intersection of its pointed that direction.2 outlet plugs. These I was bit disappointed. I have other smart plugs and they have the ability of setting schedules of automation base on time. So at 6 pm every evening I can have the lights that’s plugged into the smart WiFi plug it will turn on and at 10 pm will automatically turn off. These 2 plugs DOES NOT do this. These 2 WiFi plugs only allow you the ability to manually/remotely turn it on or off. Or to automate a timer to count down and turn it off after it has been manually turned on. Or a random on and off if you’re away on vacation mode. This plug works great for fans during the hot nights. Just don’t expect it to function like most other WiFi smart plus out there. Hopefully one of the future updates will improve on this. Then there are the WiFi bulbs. These are great to have when linked to the other devices. Explained below.A great feature on this kit is it’s ability to interlace the features. For example I have the camera facing the front door/yard from inside the window. The window weakens the detection depending on its angle placement. In this case I have the motion sensor mounted under the garage roof overhang pointing at the front door. When the motion sensor detects any type of motion in its path to my front door. 1. the light bulb turns on 2. The camera turns on and starts recording automatically. And same goes for the door/window sensor. The sensor can be used as a trigger for light bulb and camera.Your phone would receive these notifications when triggered. Hope this helps!

Inexpensive compared to everyone else, and it works! With caveats...
For the prices of everything I purchased in Wyze products, this is an outstanding value. And the sense of ease and security they offer get high marks. HOWEVER, be prepared to get frustrated setting things up, especially if you are not tech savvy.I AM tech savvy, with 20 years of I.T under my belt, and even I had to question the issues and why they existed when setting things up, and I bordered on irritated for a while. But I'm a good troubleshooter, and once I eliminated everything else, I had my answers. The cameras were easy-ish to setup, though the Pan Cam I bought seems to have some issues I'll cover shortly. The smart plugs and bulbs, however, were an entirely different ordeal. I don't blame Wyze - it would be IMPOSSIBLE to test their system under every potential network configuration, and not remotely cost effective for the company to try. So I'm betting they tested with the most common products and the basest configurations. That's what I would do, otherwise it becomes financially cumbersome and you lose money before you've even made a profit. And at such low prices for their products, their profit margins have to be minimal. Anyway, here's some advice:Your phone or tablet or IOS or Android device or VM MUST be using a 2.4GHz network. If all you have is a 5GHz network, you're never going to get these plugs to work, and likely not the cameras either (I didn't test this, but all support documentation alludes to it). Your IOS or Android device MUST be connected to a 2.4GHz wifi network. Period.I have a mesh network using Securifi products - not mainstream at all - and I eventually found that I had to set my Android phone to a STATIC IP ADDRESS instead of leasing an address through DHCP to get my smart plugs and bulbs setup. My camera setups worked with Static or DHCP, but not the smart plugs or bulbs. They each act as their own access point, so something about the coding likes a static IP address in my network configuration. Whether that holds true on any other network, I cannot say, but it might be something to look at if you run into issues. You probably have to know how to access your wifi routers user interface to set your IOS or Android device to a Static IP, so if you don't know how to do that, get a tech savvy friend or family member to come help, or get your routers technical support on the phone for support.Be patient. Once I got past the Static vs. DHCP issue, it literally took 60-seconds+ for the app to recognize my network and the smart plugs network and link them then give me the "You're Device is Connected" message. IF you're waiting more than 5 minutes I'm going to venture somethings wrong. But yeah, patience is key. Also, there are some funky glitches in the app that can come up sometimes. Like when you're setting up your smart device and you tell it to use the same 2.4GHz network your phone/tablet/VM is already using and then it tells you to find and connect to the smart plugs network then it opens up your devices WiFi Setting page and you choose the WYZExxx device network (BE SURE to choose YES if you get a popup once connected to the smart devices wireless network to STAY CONNECTED even though there is no internet, otherwise you'll never get past this point), it may not go back into the Wyze app and continue, so you manually have to switch back to the Wyze app. It's glitchy. Also, I couldn't find a way to DELETE a device in the app once it's been setup. This became an issue when my Wyze Pan Cam decided to go rogue and had to be reset and then set back up again using the app. The device already existed, and this caused some odd, off-putting hiccups that are clearly some programming oversights. I eventually overcame them, but I'm not entirely sure what step I tried got me past those problems, so I can't really share. Hopefully Wyze will take note and look into this and fix the app.As to my Pan Cam... When setting it up, it really didn't like each step, and I had to try them over and over and over again before they worked, especially the showing the camera the code on your phone part. And it was SLOOOOOW to connect to the network once everything else was finished despite sitting not 12 feet from my wifi router. But once it did connect it has worked great until yesterday. It also refuses to recognize the included SD card that came in the kit despite every other device seeing the card fine. Even after a reset it still won't see it. But cloud videos still work, so I'm not terribly upset by this. However...I went to turn on my cameras yesterday after a months+ use, which I have grouped together in the app so I can just turn on the Group instead of each individual camera, and noticed when I walked by it the camera didn't move. I walked right up to it and the little blue tracker light didn't come on either. So I opened the app back up, opened the camera group, and that camera suddenly showed as offline. I unplugged it then plugged it back in, and it did it's turn left, turn right, move the lense around and center again routine it does at startup, and then it just started looking everywhere and moving back and forth like going through some hidden subroutine, or having lost it's mind. I unplugged it then reset it as I was plugging it back in, and it did it's normal routine again, but then started tracking me like it was On in the app, but the app showed it still offline. I eventually wound up disabling all the devices in the app, closing it, forcing a stop on the app and clearing its cache, then starting the app, plugging the Pan Cam back in and going through a new camera setup, and eventually, after some rigmarole got it working again and grouped back in with my other cameras, though there is still the previous install of the same camera showing in the app as Offline.Which leads me to the thing I like the least: I could probably remove the dead device from the app forcefully with a memory wipe for the app, but if I wipe the apps memory after forcing a stop, it clears ALL the device settings, and I would have to setup every device again from scratch. This is counter intuitive since the video files associated with your account are already cloud based, so, like a competing system like Arlo, if I were to entirely nuke the app and reinstall from scratch, once I logged back into my profile everything I had previously setup would be there because it's stored in my cloud account for that product suite. Maybe it's supposed to work that way with the cloud-based devices and setting, but mine doesn't. If I wipe app memory, I lose everything and have to start over. And that's a pain, especially if I ant to walk out the door but something went so wrong I have to nuke everything and start from scratch and waste an hour getting everything back the way it was just so I can have security and peace of mind.But... For the money I am happy. And given I am tech savvy, I overcame the hurdles, and wasn't too frustrated overall. And everything works great so far except for the Pan Cam glitch, but I think it's the camera since it refuses to recognize the SD card, which would indicate a hardware issue and not a software one. Videos are great quality, even at the default 720 ppi , and even better at the 1080. The night camera works flawlessly. The tracking algorithm works great for people, and not quite as good for sneaky and quick cats, but I'm not tracking my cat so no problem there. Once setup the smart plugs work great. Same with the smart bulbs. Setting up schedules is fairly straightforward, and they still work once setup for a device even if you move that device out of your wireless networks range.I really like everything, but I had to give it 4-stars instead of 5 because of all the weird troubleshooting and software glitches and oversights. People who aren't as tech savvy I see giving lower stars, and I get why. But if you can find someone technical to help it makes all the difference in the world. And like I said, with such small profit margins I can't fault the company for not being perfect - it costs money for R&D, especially in such a vast market. But I DO hope they will pay attention, gather error logs and read these comments and their support forums and try to find fixes to the more common issues so they can not only make affordable devices, but become a staple for smart and security products instead of the exception for them.

TAKE MY MONEY!!
These kits are great. The camera quality cannot be beat for the price. Understand what you are buying and no one should have any complaints about these. They are really underpriced. They could double the price and I would still buy them. Great cameras. Door contacts are smaller than my Honeywell wireless contacts and work flawlessly. Great iPhone app that is easy to use. Couldn’t be better!

Camera works well. Captures good quality video and allows playback. Requires internet all the time.
I like this product, the video is quite clear, and it records pretty well. I gave a 4 star cause the light bulb needs to be set up again everytime whenever the power went out (i.e. if u accidentally hit the off switch). Otherwise i think the product is pretty good. Easy and quick to install. Good nightvision camera, just make sure nothing is close right in front cause it will hog all the night vision clarity.
